"My father told me: 'We came to Jabir bin Abdullah and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet (saw). He narrated: 'The Messenger of Allah (saw) set out when there were (five) days remaining in Dhul-Qadah, and we set out with him. When he came to Dhul-Hulaifah, Asma bint Umais gave birth to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr. She sent word to the Messenger of Allah (saw) asking what she should do. He said: 'Perform Ghusl, bind yourself with a cloth then begin (the Talbiyah for Ihram).'" (Sahih)

"There was a dispute between myself and a Jewish man concerning some land, and he denied me my rights so I brought him to the Prophet (saw). The Messenger of Allah (saw) said to me: 'Do you have proof' I said: 'No.' He said to the Jews, 'Swear an oath.' I said: 'If he swears an oath he will take my property.' Then Allah, Glorious is He, revealed: 'Verily, those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's covenant and their oaths, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter (Paradise). Neither will Allah neither speak to them nor look at them on the Day of Resurrection nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful torment.'"

The Prophet intended to practice Itikaf and when he reached the place where he intended to perform Itikaf, he saw some tents, the tents of 'Aisha, Hafsa and Zainab. So, he said, "Do you consider that they intended to do righteousness by doing this?" And then he went away and did not perform Itikaf (in Ramadan) but performed it in the month of Shawwal for ten days.

that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) observed: Avoid the seven noxious things. It was said (by the hearers): What are they, Messenger of Allah? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Associating anything with Allah, magic, killing of one whom God has declared inviolate without a just cause, consuming the property of an orphan, and consuming of usury, turning back when the army advances, and slandering chaste women who are believers, but unwary.

from Abdullah, The Prophet (SAW) said, "Whoever takes a false oath in order to grab another man's (or his brother's) property, then Allah will be angry with him when he will meet him." Then Allah confirmed this by revealing the Divine Verse: "Verily! Those who purchase a little gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths . . . Will get painful punishment." (3.77) Al-Ashath met me and asked, "What did Abdullah tell you today?" I said, "So and so." He said, "The Verse was revealed regarding my case."

that the Prophet (saw) would supplicate: "Allahumma tahhirni min Adh-dhunub wal-khatay. Allahumma naqqini minha kama yunaqqa ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas, Allahumma tahhirni bith-thalji wal-barad wal-ma'al-barid (O Allah, cleanse me of it as a white garment is cleansed of dirt, O Allah purify me with snow and hail and cold water)." Ibn Umar said, "Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, 'If one manumits his share of a jointly possessed slave, and can afford the price of the other shares according to the adequate price of the slave, the slave will be completely manumitted; otherwise he will be partially manumitted.' " (Ayyub, a sub-narrator is not sure whether the saying " ... otherwise he will be partially manumitted" was said by Nafi or the Prophet (SAW).)

I asked the Prophet (SAW), "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and to fight for His Cause." I then asked, "What is the best kind of manumission (of slaves)?" He replied, "The manumission of the most expensive slave and the most beloved by his master." I said, "If I cannot afford to do that?" He said, "Help the weak or do good for a person who cannot work for himself." I said, "If I cannot do that?" He said, "Refrain from harming others for this will be regarded as a charitable deed for your own good."

The Prophet offered one hundred Budn as Hadi and ordered me to distribute their meat (in charity) and I did so. Then he ordered me to distribute their covering sheets in charity and I did so. Then he ordered me to distribute their skins in charity and I did so.
