in his narration, Amr (one of the narrators) said that he was the one who looked after the sacrificial animals of the Prophet (saw) - said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with those sacrificial animals that become unfit?' He said: 'Slaughter them, dip its sandal in its blood, then place it on its side, and leave them for the people to eat.'"

"We were with the Prophet (saw) on a journey, and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we are (sometimes) on military campaigns, and we have no knife with us.' He said: '(Use) whatever causes the blood to flow, mention the Name of Allah and eat, but (do not use) teeth or nails, for the tooth is a bone and the nail is the knife of the Ethiopians."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yazid ibn Abdullah Qusayt al-Laythi that he saw Said ibn al-Musayyab having a nose-bleed while praying. He went off to the room of Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and water was brought to him and he did wudu. He then returned and completed his prayer.

narrated that he observed the Prophet (SAW) sleeping while he was in prostration. He was snoring or taking long breaths. Then he stood up continued to offer salah. He said, "0 Messenger of Allah!! You had gone to sleep.He replied "Ablution is wajib for one who sleeps lying down because his joints are relaxed when he lies down." [Abu Dawud 202]

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from lyad ibn Abdullah ibn Sad ibn Abi Sarh al-Amiri that he had heard Abu Said al-Khudri say, "We used to pay the zakat al-fitr with a sa of wheat, or a sa of barley, or a sa of dates, or a sa of dried sour milk, or a sa of raisins, using the sa of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. "

One of the supplications that the Prophet (saw) used to say was: 'Allahumma, inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfa'u, wa min du'a'in la yusma'u, wa min qalbin la yakhsha'u, wa min nafsin la tahba'u [O Allah, I seek refuge with You from knowledge that is of no benefit, from a supplication that is not heard, from a heart that does not fear (You) and from a soul that is not satisfied].'"
