Hadith No: 117
Narrated/Authority of Muadh
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 54, Jihaad (Fighting for the cause of Allah)
I was a companion rider of the Prophet (SAW) on a donkey called Ufair. The Prophet (SAW) asked, "O Muadh! Do you know what Allah's right on His slaves is, and what the right of His slaves on Him is?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle (SAW) know better." He said, "Allah's right on His slaves is that they should worship Him (Alone) and should not worship any besides Him. And slaves' right on Allah is that He should not punish him who worships none besides Him." I said, "O Allah's Apostle (SAW)! Should I not inform the people of this good news?" He said, "Do not inform them of it, lest they should depend on it (solely)."
Hadith No: 125
Narrated/Authority of Abu Ishaq
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 54, Jihaad (Fighting for the cause of Allah)
Somebody asked Al-Bara bin Azib, "Did you flee deserting Allah's Apostle (SAW) during the battle of Hunain?" Al-Bara replied, "But Allah's Apostle (SAW) did not flee. The people of the Tribe of Hawazin were good archers. When we met them, we attacked them, and they fled. When the Muslims started collecting the war booty, the al-Mushrikun (pagans) faced us with arrows, but Allah's Apostle (SAW) did not flee. No doubt, I saw him on his white mule and Abu Sufyan was holding its reins and the Prophet (SAW) was saying, 'I am the Prophet (SAW) without a lie: I am the son of Abdul Muttalib.' "

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 33, Retiring to a Mosque for Remembrance of Allah (Itikaf)
from Safiya, Safiya went to the Prophet while he was in Itikaf. When she returned, the Prophet accompanied her walking. An Ansari man saw him. When the Prophet noticed him, he called him and said, "Come here. She is Safiya. (Sufyan a sub-narrator perhaps said that the Prophet had said, "This is Safiya"). And Satan circulates in the body of Adam's offspring as his blood circulates in it." (A sub-narrator asked Sufyan, "Did Safiya visit him at night?" He said, "Of course, at night.")

Narrated/Authority of Ibn Umar
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 16, Witr Prayer
Once a person asked Allah's Apostle about the night prayer. Allah's Apostle replied, "The night prayer is offered as two Rakat followed by two Rakat and so on and if anyone is afraid of the approaching dawn (Fajr prayer) he should pray one Raka and this will be a Witr for all the Rakat which he has prayed before." Nafi' told that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar used to say Taslim between (the first) two Rakat and (the third) odd one in the Witr prayer, when he wanted to attend to a certain matter (during that interval between the Rakat).

Narrated/Authority of Jabir bin Abdullah
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 23, Funerals (Al-Janaaiz)
On the day of the Battle of Uhud, my father was brought and he had been mayhemed and was placed in front of Allah's Apostle and a sheet was over him. I went intending to uncover my father but my people forbade me; again I wanted to uncover him but my people forbade me. Allah's Apostle gave his order and he was shifted away. At that time he heard the voice of a crying woman and asked, "Who is this?" They said, "It is the daughter or the sister of Amr." He said, "Why does she weep? (or let her stop weeping), for the angels had been shading him with their wings till he (i.e. the body of the martyr) was shifted away."

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 24, Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat)
Some of the wives of the Prophet asked him, "Who amongst us will be the first to follow you (i.e. die after you)?" He said, "Whoever has the longest hand." So they started measuring their hands with a stick and Sauda's hand turned out to be the longest. (When Zainab bint Jahsh died first of all in the caliphate of 'Umar), we came to know that the long hand was a symbol of practicing charity, so she was the first to follow the Prophet and she used to love to practice charity. (Sauda died later in the caliphate of Muawiya).

Narrated/Authority of An-Numan bin Bashir
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 50, Witnesses
My mother asked my father to present me a gift from his property; and he gave it to me after some hesitation. My mother said that she would not be satisfied unless the Prophet (SAW) was made a witness to it. I being a young boy, my father held me by the hand and took me to the Prophet (SAW) . He said to the Prophet (SAW), "His mother, bint Rawaha, requested me to give this boy a gift." The Prophet (SAW) said, "Do you have other sons besides him?" He said, "Yes." The Prophet (SAW) said, "Do not make me a witness for injustice." Narrated Ash-Shabi that the Prophet (SAW) said, "I will not become a witness for injustice."

Narrated/Authority of Abu Salih As-Samman
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 9, Virtues of the Prayer Hall (Sutra of the Musalla)
I saw Abu Said Al-Khudri praying on a Friday, behind something which acted as a Sutra. A young man from Bani Abi Mu'ait, wanted to pass in front of him, but Abu Said repulsed him with a push on his chest. Finding no alternative he again tried to pass but Abu Said pushed him with a greater force. The young man abused Abu Said and went to Marwan and lodged a complaint against Abu Said and Abu Said followed the young man to Marwan who asked him, "O Abu Said! What has happened between you and the son of your brother?" Abu Sa'id said to him, "I heard the Prophet saying, 'If anybody amongst you is praying behind something as a Sutra and somebody tries to pass in front of him, then he should repulse him and if he refuses, he should use force against him for he is a satan.' "

Narrated/Authority of Aisha
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 1, Revelation
(the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes ' off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the Sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 45, Oppressions (Al-Mazalim)
On the day of Khaibar the Prophet (SAW) saw fires being lighted. He asked, "Why are these fires being lighted?" The people replied that they were cooking the meat of donkeys. He said, "Break the pots and throw away their contents." The people said, "Shall we throw away their contents and wash the pots (rather than break them)?" He said, "Wash them."
