Barira came to seek my help regarding her manumission. I told herself you like I would pay your price to your masters but your Al-Wala(1) would be for me." Her masters said, "If you like, you can pay what remains (of the price of her manumission), (Sufyan the sub-narrator once said), or if you like you can manumit her, but her (inheritance) Al-Wala would be for us. "When Allah's Apostle came, I spoke to him about it. He said, "Buy her and manumit her. No doubt Al-Wala(1) is for the manumitted." Then Allah's Apostle stood on the pulpit (or Allah's Apostle ascended the pulpit as Sufyan once said), and said, "What about some people who impose conditions which are not present in Allah's Book (Laws)? Whoever imposes conditions which are not in Allah's Book (Laws), his conditions will be invalid even if he imposed them a hundred times."

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: A man from among people of Paradise will be brought forward. Allah (SWT) will ask him: 0 Son of Adam! How did you find your home? He will reply: 0 my Lord! It is the best home, then Allah will say: Ask and wish anything you like. The man will say: I would ask You to send me back to the world in order to be killed in Your way ten times. (This is because of the superiority of the martyrdom and the high position which martyrs would be made to occupy in heaven). (This Hadith is sound and reported by Nasa'i).

"When the Messenger of Allah (saw) was taken on the Night Journey, he came to Sidrah Al-Muntaha, which is in the sixth heaven. That is where everything that comes up from below ends, and where everything that comes down from above, until it is taken from it. Allah says: When what covered the lote-tree did cover it!. [53:16] He said: "It was moths of gold. And I was given three things: The five daily prayers, the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and whoever of my Ummah dies without associating anything with Allah will be forgiven for Al-Muqhimat."* (Sahih) *"The sins of the worst magnitude that drag one into the Fire." (An-Nihayah)

from his father who from his grandfather that they were with the Prophet in a journey. They came to a very narrow pass when it was time for salah. The heaven poured down rain from above and there was damp mud below them. So Allah's Messenger called the adhan while he was on his riding beast and then called the iqamah. Then he pulled his riding beast shead. Then he lead them in prayer, in gestures. He bowed down more in sajdah than in ruku'. [Ahmed 17584]

"I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: Paradise has one hundred grades, each of which is as big as the distance between heaven and earth. The highest of them is Firdaws and the best of them is Firdaws. The Throne is above Firdaws and from it spring forth the rivers of Paradise. If you ask of Allah, ask Him for Firdaws."

"We performed the Maghrib (prayer) with the Messenger of Allah (saw), then those who went back went back, and those who stayed, stayed. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) came back in a hurry, out of breath, with his garment pulled up to his knees, and said: 'Be of good cheer, for your Lord has opened one of the gates of heaven and is boasting of you before the angels, saying: "Look at My slaves; they have fulfilled one obligatory duty and are awaiting another." (Sahih)

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: Allah has some angels who roam about the streets in search of people mentioning Allah's Names. When they find such a gathering, they call one another saying: Come to the object of your pursuit. The Prophet (SAW) added: The angels surround them with their wings up to the lowest heaven (sky of the world). He further added: (When the people in the gathering disperse, the angels ascend to the heaven). Their Lord, who knows best about the people, asks them: What do my slaves say? The angels reply: They were glorifying You (by repeating the words "Allah is the All-Glorified", exalting You (by repeating the words "Allah is All-Great", praising You (by repeating the words "All praise be to Allah"), and dignifying You. He asks them: Have they seen Me? The angels reply: No, by Allah. 0 Lord! They haven't seen You (at all). He asks: How would it be if they saw Me? The angels reply: If they saw You, they would worship You more devotedly, dignify You more fervently and exalt You more sincerely. Then Allah asks them: What do they ask Me? The angels reply: They ask You Paradise. He asks them: Have they seen it? The angels reply: No, by Allah, they have not seen it. He asks: How would it be, if they saw it? The angels reply: If they saw it, they would crave for it eagerly, seek after it vigorously and desire it ardently. He asks: From what do they seek My protection? The angels reply: (They seek your protection) from Hell. He asks: Have they seen it? The angels reply: No, by Allah, 0 Lord! They haven't see it (at all). He asks: How would it be, if they saw it. The angels reply: If they saw it, they would fear it extremely and flee from it hastily. Then Allah says (to the angels): I make you witness that I have forgiven them. Allah's Messenger (PBUH) added: One of the angels would say: 0 Lord! among them was so-and-so (a much sinning slave) who was not actually included in the gathering but he happened to came there for some need (and sat down with them). Allah would remark: Anyhow, they were all sitting together, so their companion will not be reduced to misery (i.e. they were sitting together and glorifying Allah, so he who sits with them will not suffer but get forgiveness as a reward for his association with the people remembering Allah). (This Hadith is sound and reported by Bukhari and Muslim).

"I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: "There is no person who says, in the morning and evening of every day: Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'a ismihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-Alim (In the name of Allah with Whose Name nothing on earth or in heaven harms, and He is the All-Seeing, All-Knowing), three times, and is then harmed by anything.'" (Hasan)He (one of the narrators) said: "Aban had been stricken with paralysis on one side of his body, and a man started looking at him. Aban said: 'Why are you looking at me? The Hadith is as I have narrated it to you, but I did not say it that day, so that the decree of Allah might be implemented.'"

Some people went to Sahl bin Sad As-Sa'idi and told him that they had different opinions regarding the wood of the pulpit. They asked him about it and he said, "By Allah, I know of what wood the pulpit was made, and no doubt I saw it on thy very first day when Allah's Apostle I took his seat on it. Allah's Apostle sent for such and such an Ansari woman (and Sahl mentioned her name) and said to her, 'Order your slave-carpenter to prepare for me some pieces of wood (i.e. pulpit) on which I may sit at the time of addressing the people.' So she ordered her slave-carpenter and he made it from the tamarisk of the forest and brought it (to the woman). The woman sent that (pulpit) to Allah's Apostle who ordered it to be placed here. Then I saw Allah's Apostle praying on it and then bowed on it. Then he stepped back, got down and prostrated on the ground near the foot of the pulpit and again ascended the pulpit. After finishing the prayer he faced the people and said, 'I have done this so that you may follow me and learn the way I pray.' "

"After the Messenger of Allah (saw) had died, Abu Bakr said to Umar: 'Let us go and visit Umm Ayman as the Messenger of Allah (saw) used to visit her.' He said: 'When we reached her she wept.' They said: 'Why are you weeping? What is with Allah is better for His Messenger.' She said: 'I know that what is with Allah is better for His Messenger, but I am weeping because the Revelation from heaven has ceased.' She moved them to tears and they started to weep with her."
