He was asked about performing ablution after eating meat. He replied: Do not perform ablution after eating it. He was asked about saying prayer in places where the camels lie down. He replied: Do not offer prayer in places where the camels lie down. These are the places of Satan. He was asked about saying prayer in the sheepfolds. Then a man said to him: 'Withhold some of your rulings, for you do not know what the Commander of the Believers has introduced into the rites after you.' (Abu Musa said:) 'Then when I met him later on, I asked him.' Umar said: 'I know that the Messenger of Allah (saw) and his Companions did it, but I did not like that people should lie with their wives in the shade of the Arak trees and then go out for Hajj with their heads dripping,' (i.e. due to the bath after sexual relations)."

Yahya related to me from Malik from AbuRijal Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that when A'isha umm al-muminin was doing hajj with women who were expecting their periods, she would hurry them to do the tawaf al-ifada on the Day of Sacrifice. If they started to menstruate after the tawaf al-ifada she did not stop for them but left with them while they were menstruating.
