Hadith No: 3956
From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 39, The Chapters on Tribulations
Narrated/Authority of Abdur-Rahman bin Abd Rabbil-Kabah
"I came to Abdullah bin Amr bin 'As when he was sitting in the shade of the Kabah, and the people were gathered around him, and I heard him say: 'While we were with the Messenger of Allah (saw) on a journey, he stopped to camp and some of us were pitching tents, some were competing in shooting arrows and some were taking the animals out to graze them. Then his caller called out: "As-Salatu Jami'ah (prayer is about to begin)." So we gathered, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) stood up and addressed us. He said: "There has never been a Prophet before me who was not obliged to tell his nation of what he knew was good for them, and to warn against what he knew was bad for them. With regard to this nation of yours, soundness (of religious commitment) and well-being has been placed in its earlier generations and the last of them will be afflicted with calamities and things that you dislike. Then there will come tribulations which will make the earlier ones pale into significance, and the believer will say: 'This will be the end of me,' then relief will come. Then (more) tribulations will come and the believer will say: 'This will be the end of me,' then relief will come. Whoever would like to be taken far away from Hell and admitted to Paradise, let him die believing in Allah and the Last Day, and let him treat people as he would like to be treated. Whoever gives his oath of allegiance to a ruler and gives a sincere promise, let him obey him as much as he can, and if another comes and challenges him, let them strike the neck (i.e., kill) the second one.'" He the narrator said: "I raised my head among the people and said: 'I adjure you by Allah, did you hear that from the Messenger of Allah (saw)?' He (Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-'As) pointed with his hand to his ears and said: I heard it directly from him and memorized it.'"

From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 7, Tahajjud
Narrated/Authority of
Yahya related to me from Malik from Makhrama ibn Sulayman from Kurayb, the mawla of Ibn Abbas, that Abdullah ibn Abbas told him that he had spent a night at the house of Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who was also Ibn Abbas' mother's sister. Ibn Abbas said, "I lay down with my head on the breadth of the cushion, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and his wife lay down with their heads on its length. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, slept, until, halfway through the night or a little before or after it, he awoke and sat up and wiped the sleep away from his face with his hand. Then he recited the last ten ayats of sura Ali Imran (Sura3). Then he got up and went over to a water-skin which was hanging up and did wudu from it, doing his wudu thoroughly, and then he stood in prayer." Ibn Abbas continued, "I stood up and did the same and then went and stood by his side. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, put his right hand on my head and took my right ear and tweaked it. He prayed two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, then two rakas, and then prayed an odd raka. Then he lay down until the muadhdhin came to him, and then prayed two quick rakas, and went out and prayed subh ."

From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 40, The Chapters on Ascetism (Zuhd)
Narrated/Authority of Abu Hurairah
that the Prophet (saw) said: "The dead person ends up in his grave, then the righteous man is made to sit up in his grave with no fear or panic. Then it is said to him: What religion did you follow? He said: I was in Islam. It is said to him: Who is this man? He says: Muhammad the Messenger of Allah (saw). He brought us clear signs from Allah and we believed him. It is said to him: Have you seen Allah? He says: No one is able to see Allah. Then a window to Hell is opened for him, and he sees it, parts of it destroying others. Then it is said to him: Look at what Allah has saved you from. Then a window to Paradise is opened to him, and he looks at its beauty and what is in it. It is said to him: This is your place. And it is said to him: You had certain faith and you died in that state, and in that state you will be resurrected if Allah wills. And the evil man is made to sit up in his grave with fear and panic. It is said to him: What religion did you follow? He says: I do not know. It is said to him: Who is this man? He says: I heard the people saying something and I said it too. Then a window to Paradise is opened to him, and he looks at its beauty and what is in it. It is said to him: Look at what Allah has diverted away from you. Then a window to Hell is opened for him, and he sees it, parts of it destroying others, and it is said to him: This is your place. You were doubtful; in this state you died and in this state you will be resurrected, if Allah wills."

O Lord! Make me grateful to You, make me remember You much, make me fearful of You, obedient to You, humble before You and turning to You. O Lord! Accept my repentance and wash away my sins, answer my supplication, guide my heart, make my tongue speak the truth, make my proof firm and remove resentment from my heart)." From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 40, The Chapters on Ascetism (Zuhd)
Narrated/Authority of Abu Hurairah
that the Prophet (saw) said: "Angels come to the dying person, and if the man was righteous, they say: Come out, O good soul that was in a good body, come out praiseworthy and receive glad tidings of mercy and fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry. And this is repeated until it comes out, then it is taken up to heaven, and it is opened for it, and it is asked: Who is this? They say: So-and-so. It is said: Welcome to the good soul that was in a good body. Enter praiseworthy and receive the glad tidings of mercy and fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry. And this is repeated until it is brought to the heaven above which is Allah. But if the man was evil, they say: Come out O evil soul that was in an evil body. Come out blameworthy, and receive the tidings of boiling water and the discharge of dirty wounds, and other torments of similar kind, all together. And this is repeated until it comes out, then it is taken up to heaven and it is not opened for it. And it is asked: Who is this? It is said: So-and-so. And it is said: No welcome to the evil soul that was in an evil body. Go back blameworthy, for the gates of heaven will not be opened to you. So it is sent back down from heaven, then it goes to the grave."

Hadith No: 18
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 27, Minor Pilgrimage (Umra)
Narrated/Authority of Hisham bin Urwa
from his father who said: While I was a youngster, I asked Aisha the wife of the Prophet. "What about the meaning of the Statement of Allah; "Verily! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al Marwa, are among the symbols of Allah. So, it is not harmful if those who perform Hajj or 'Umra of the House (Kaaba at Mecca) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them? (2.158) I understand (from that) that there is no harm if somebody does not perform the Tawaf between them." Aisha replied, "No, for if it were as you are saying, then the recitation would have been like this: 'It is not harmful not to perform Tawaf between them.' This verse was revealed in connection with the Ansar who used to assume the Ihram for the idol Manat which was put beside a place called Qudaid and those people thought it not right to perform the Tawaf of As-Safa and Al-Marwa. When Islam came, they asked Allah's Apostle about that, and Allah revealed: "Verily! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwa Are among the symbols of Allah. So, it is not harmful of those who perform Hajj or 'Umra of the House (Kaaba at Mecca) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them." (2.158) Sufyan and Abu Muawiya added from Hisham (from Aisha): "The Hajj or Umra of the person who does not perform the going (Tawaf) between As-Safa and Al-Marwa is incomplete in Allah's sight.

From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 36, Judgements
Narrated/Authority of
Yahya said from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Utba ibn Abi Waqqas disclosed to his brother, Sad ibn Abi Waqqas, that he was the father of the son of the slave-girl of Zama, and made him promise to look after him (after his death). In the year of the conquest, Sad took him and said, 'He is the son of my brother. He covenanted with me about him.' Abd ibn Zama stood up and said, 'He is my brother and the son of my father's slave-girl. He was born on his bed.' They went to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Sad said, 'Messenger of Allah! He is the son of my brother, he made a covenant with me about him.' Abd ibn Zama said, 'He is my brother and the son of my father's slave-girl and was born on my father's bed.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'He is yours, Abd ibn Zama.' Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'A child belongs to the household (where he was born) and the adulterer is stoned.' Then he told Sawda bint Zama, 'Veil yourself from him,' since he saw in him a resemblance to Utba ibn Abi Waqqas." Aisha added, "He did not see her until he met Allah, the Mighty, the Majestic!"

Hadith No: 87
From: 110 Hadith Qudsi. Chapter 1, 110 Ahadith Qudsi (Sacred Hadith)
Narrated/Authority of Abu Dhar
The Prophet (SAW) said that Allah (SWT) said: 0 My slaves! I have forbidden injustice for Myself, so it is forbidden amongst you. So, do not be unjust to each other. 0 My slave! All of you are liable to go astray except the one whom I guide on the right path. So (always) seek guidance from Me, I will guide you. O My slave! All of you are hungry except the one whom I feed. So ask Me for food. I shall feed you. 0 My slave! All of you are naked except the one whom I make wear. So ask Me to make you wear and I shall make you wear. 0 My slave! You commit mistakes (sins) by day and night; and I forgive all the sins. So ask Me forgiveness, I shall forgive you (your sins). 0 My slaves! You will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me. 0 My slaves! Were the first of you and the last of you, the human being of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of anyone of you, that would not increase My kingdom anything. 0 My slaves! Were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of anyone of you, that would not decrease My kingdom anything. 0 My slaves! Were the first of you, the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in any place and make a request to Me and I have to give every one what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, anything more than a needle decreases the sea if it is put into it. 0 My slaves! Rather it is but your deeds which I will reckon for you, and then recompense for. So let, who finds good, praise Allah and let, who finds other than that, blame no one but himself. (This Hadith is sound and reported by Muslim).

From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 38, Setting Free and Wala
Narrated/Authority of
Malik related to me from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Barira came to me and said, 'I have written myself as mukatab for my people for nine uqiyas, one uqiya per year, so help me.' Aisha said, 'If your people agree that I pay it all to them for you, and that if I pay it, your wala' is mine, then I will do it.' Barira went to her masters and told them that and they didn't agree. She came back from her masters while the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was sitting. She said to Aisha, 'I offered that to them and they refused me unless they had the wala.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, heard that and asked her about it A'isha told him and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Take her and stipulate that the wala' is yours, for the wala is for the one who sets free.' So Aisha did that and then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up in front of the people, and praised Allah and gave thanks to Him. Then he said, 'What is wrong with the people who make conditions which are not in the Book of Allah? Any condition which is not in the Book of Allah is invalid even if it is a hundred conditions. The decree of Allah is truer and the conditions of Allah are firmer, and the wala' only belongs to the one who sets free.' "
