So, my father went to Allah's Apostle (SAW) and said, 'I have given a gift to my son from Amra bint Rawaha, but she ordered me to make you as a witness to it, O Allah's Apostle (SAW)!' Allah's Apostle (SAW) asked, 'Have you given (the like of it) to everyone of your sons?' He replied in the negative. Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, 'Be afraid of Allah, and be just to your children.' From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 10, Times of the Prayers
Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Abi Qatada
My father said, "One night we were traveling with the Prophet and some people said, 'We wish that Allah's Apostle would take a rest along with us during the last hours of the night.' He said, 'I am afraid that you will sleep and miss the (Fajr) prayer.' Bilal said, 'I will make you get up.' So all slept and Bilal rested his back against his Rahila and he too was overwhelmed (by sleep) and slept. The Prophet got up when the edge of the sun had risen and said, 'O Bilal! What about your statement?' He replied, 'I have never slept such a sleep.' The Prophet said, 'Allah captured your souls when He wished, and released them when He wished. O Bilal! Get up and pronounce the Adhan for the prayer.' The Prophet performed ablution and when the sun came up and became bright, he stood up and prayed."

He said : 'Then make temporary marriages with these women'. So we went to them, but they insisted on setting a fixed time between us and them. They mentioned that to the Prophet (saw) and he said : 'Set a fixed time between you and them.' So I went out with a cousin of mine. He had a cloak and I had a cloak, but his cloak was finer than mine, and I was younger than him. We came to a women and she said: 'One cloak is like another.' So I married her and stayed with her that night. Then the next day I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) standing between the Rukn (corner) and the door (of the Ka'bah), saying : 'O people, I had permitted temporary marriage for you, but Allah has forbidden it until the Day of Resurrection. however had any temporary wives, he should let them go, and do not take back anything that you had given to them.' From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 28, Pilgrims Prevented from Completing the Pilgrimage
Narrated/Authority of Nafi
When Abdullah bin Umar set out for Mecca with the intentions performing 'Umra in the period of afflictions, he said, "If I should be prevented from reaching the Kaba, then I would do the same as we did while in the company of Allah's Apostle." So, he assumed the Ihram for Umra since the Prophet had assumed the Ihram for Umra in the year of Al-Hudaibiya. Then Abdullah bin Umar thought about it and said, "The conditions for both Hajj and 'Umra are similar." He then turned towards his companions and said, "The conditions of both Hajj and Umra are similar and I make you witnesses that I have made the performance of Hajj obligatory for myself along with Umra." He then performed one Tawaf (between As-Safa and Al-Marwa) for both of them (i.e. Hajj and Umra) and considered that to be sufficient for him and offered a Hadi.

From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 2, The Chapters of Purification and its Sunnah
Narrated/Authority of Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Umar

(Sahih) Another chain with similar wording. *A Qullah is a large water container whose size the scholars differ over, from five to fifty waterskins. Tirmidhi said (no. 67): "And they say, it is approximately fifty Qirbah (water skins)." Khattabi said (Maalamus-Sunan: 1:35): "The scholars have stated that the size of two Qullah is five Qirbah." Hadith No: 8
From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 36, Judgements
Narrated/Authority of
Yahya said, "Malik said about Jamil ibn Abd ar-Rahman al-Muadhdin that he was present with Umar ibn Abdul Aziz when he was judging between people. If a man came to him with a claim against a man, he examined whether or not there were frequent transactions and dealings between them. If there were, the defendant could make an oath. If there was nothing of that nature he did not accept an oath from him." Malik summed up, "What is done in our community is that if someone makes a claim against a man, it is examined. If there are frequent transactions and dealings between them, the defendant is made to take an oath. If he takes an oath, the claim against him is dropped. If the defendant refuses to take an oath, and returns the oath to the claimant, the one claiming his right takes an oath and takes his due."

Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
said: When this verse was revealed: "Whether you disclose what is in your minds or conceal it, Allah will call you to account according to it". It caused anxiety to the Companions as had never been before. Then Allah's Messenger (PBUH) observed: Say: We have heard and obeyed and submitted (to the Lord!). The narrator added: Allah instilled Faith in their hearts and further revealed (for their satisfaction) this verse: "Allah burdens not a soul beyond its capacity. It will get every good that it earns and it will suffer every ill that it commits. Our Lord! Call us not to account if we forget or make a mistake". (When they said the same verse) Allah said: I have done. They further said: Our Lord! Lay not upon us a burden as your did lay on those before us. Allah said: I have done so. The Companions further said: And pardon us, have Mercy on us.You are our Protector. The Lord said: Done. (This Hadith is sound and reported by Bukhari and Tirmidhi).
