Narrated/Authority of Salim
the freed slave of Shaddad, I came to Aisha, the wife of the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him), on the day when Sad bin Abi Waqqas died. Abd al-Rahman bin Abu Bakr also came there and he performed ablution in her presence. She (Hadrat A'isha) said: Abd al-Rahman, complete the ablution as I heard the Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) say: Woe to the heels because of hell-fire.

Malik related to me from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that Aisha umm al-muminin wanted to buy a slave-girl and set her free. Her people said, "We will sell her to you provided that her wala is ours." She mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said, "Don't let that hinder you, for the wala' only belongs to the one who sets free."

who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah the Almighty said: 'There are three (1) whose adversary I shall be on the Day of Resurrection: a man who has given his word by Me and has broken it; a man who has sold a free man (2) and has consumed the price; and a man who has hired a workman, has exacted his due in full from him and has not given him his wage.'" (1) i.e. types of men. (2) i.e. a man who has made a slave of another and has sold him. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Ibn Majah and Ahmad ibn Hanbal).

the freed slave woman of Fakih bin Mughirah, that she entered upon Aisha and saw a spear in her house. She said: "O Mother of the Believers, what do you do with this?" She said: "We kill these house lizards with it, for the Prophet of Allah (saw) told us that when Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, there was no beast on earth that did not try to put it out, apart from the house lizard that blew on it. So the Messenger of Allah (saw) commanded that they should be killed."

that the Prophet (saw) said: "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer. If it is complete, then the voluntary (prayers) will also be recorded for him (as an increase). If it is not complete then Allah will say to His angels: 'Look and see whether you find any voluntary prayers for My slave, and take them to make up what is lacking from his obligatory prayers.' Then all his deeds will be reckoned in like manner."

Affan performed the ablution well, and then said: I saw Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) perform ablution, the best ablution, and then observed: He who performed ablution like this and then went towards the mosque and nothing (but the love of) prayer urged him (to do so), all his previous (minor) sins would be expiated.
