From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 9, The Book of Fasting
Narrated/Authority of Abu Hurairah
"The Prophet (saw) used to observe Itikaf for ten days every year. In the year in which he passed away, he observed Itikaf for twenty days. And the Quran would be reviewed with him once every year, but in the year in which he passed away, it was reviewed with him twice." Sahih

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 4, Ablutions (Wudu')
Narrated/Authority of Anas bin Malik
saw Allah's Apostle when the 'Asr prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah's Apostle . He put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers till all of them performed the ablution (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet).

reported that the Prophet (SAW) said, "When a Muslim slave", or, "a Believer washes his face while performing ablution then, with the water, or the last drop of water, all his sins committed with his eyes are washed away. When he washes his hands then all sins commited with them are washed away with water or the last drop of water till comes out pure from sins." [Ahmed8026, Muslim 244]

While I was walking with Abdullah he said, "We were in the company of the Prophet and he said, 'He who can afford to marry should marry, because it will help him refrain from looking at other women, and save his private parts from looking at other women, and save his private parts from committing illegal sexual relation; and he who cannot afford to marry is advised to fast, as fasting will diminish his sexual power."

that the Prophet (saw) entered upon a young man who was dying and said: "How do you feel?" He said: "I have hope in Allah, O Messenger of Allah, but I fear my sins." The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "These two things (hope and fear) do not coexist in the heart of a person in a situation like this, but Allah will give him that which he hopes for and keep him safe from that which he fears."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Amongst what was sent down of the Qur'an was 'ten known sucklings make haram' - then it was abrogated by 'five known sucklings'. When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died, it was what is now recited of the Qur'an." Yahya said that Malik said, "One does not act on this."

that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) happened to pass by a heap of eatables (corn). He thrust his hand in that (heap) and his fingers were moistened. He said to the owner of that heap of eatables (corn): What is this? He replied: Messenger of Allah, these have been drenched by rainfall. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: Why did you not place this (the drenched part of the heap) over other eatables so that the people could see it? He who deceives is not of me (is not my follower).

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar would always pay the zakat al-fitr in dates, except once, when he paid it in barley. Maliksaid, "Payment of all types of kaffara, of zakat al-fitr and of the zakat on grains for which a tenth or a twentieth is due, is made using the smaller mudd, which is the mudd of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, except in the case of dhihar divorce, when the kaffara is paid using the mudd of Hisham, which is the larger mudd."

The Prophet (SAW) said: Allah JLN says: I am in accordance with the thoughts of My slave about Me; and I am with him, when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart. If he remembers Me in a group, I remember him in a better group (i.e. angels). If he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by a cubit. If he draws near Me by a cubit, I draw near him by the space covered by two hands. If he walks towards Me, I go to him running. (This Hadith is sound and reported by Bukhari and Muslim).

Narrated/Authority of Humaid bin Abdur Rahman
"I met a man who accompanied the Prophet (saw) as Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), accompanied him for four years. He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (saw) forbade any one of us to comb his hair each day,*or to urinate in the place where he performs Ghusl, or for a man to perform Ghusl using the leftover water of a woman, or a woman to perform Ghusl using the leftover water of a man - they should scoop it out together.'" (Sahih) *it is said this is to prevent him from making his physical appearance his main aim.
