Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to a woman in mourning for her husband whose eyes were troubling her and the pain had become very strong, "Apply jala kohl at night and wipe it off in the day."

Abu Umarah, the freed slave of the Ansar, said: "I heard Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin 'Amr bin Hazm narrating from his father, from his grandfather, that The Prophet (saw) said: 'There is no believer who consoles for his brother for a calamity, but Allah will clothe him with garments of honor on the Day of Resurrection.'" "A man come to the Prophet (saw) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what supplication is best?' He said: 'Ask your Lord for forgiveness and to be kept safe and sound in this world and in the Hereafter.' Then (the man) came the next day and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what supplication is best?' He said: 'Ask your Lord for forgiveness and to be kept safe and sound in this world and in the Hereafter.' Then (the man) came the third day and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, what supplication is best?' He said: 'Ask your Lord for forgiveness and to be kept safe and sound in this world and in the Hereafter, for if you are forgiven and kept safe and sound in this world and the Hereafter, you will have succeeded.'"

that the Prophet (SAW) said: Allah (SWT) will call: 0 Adam! He will say: I respond to Your Call; I am obedient of Your Orders; and goodness rests in Your Hand. Allah will say: Bring forth the group for Hell. Adam will ask: Who are the people doomed to Hell? Allah will say: They are nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every one thousand. The Prophet (SAW) said: At this juncture every child would tum grey-haired and every pregnant would miscarry due to the dread of the moment and you would see people as drunk while they would not actually be. The torment of Allah would be grievous enough to make them so. Then the Companions asked: 0 Allah"s. Messenger (PBUH) Who would be that single person among us? He said: Be happy! When one is selected (for Paradise) from among you, one thousand from Gog and Magog would be sent to Hell. Then he said: By Him in Whose Hand is my soul! I hope you will constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise. We exclaimed (Allah is All-Great) He said: I anticipate you would be one-third of the people of Paradise. Again we shouted Allahu Akbar He said: I expect you would be half of the people of Paradise. Again we exclaimed Allahu Akbar He further said: Despite, You would be just like a black hair in the skin of a white ox or like a white hair in the skin of a black one (i.e. your number compared with the non-Muslims will be very small but in Paradise you will be the majority). (This Hadith is sound and reported by Bukhari and Muslim).

Aisha's brother and I went to 'Aisha and he asked her about the bath of the Prophet. She brought a pot containing about a Sa' of water and took a bath and poured it over her head and at what time there was a screen between her and us.
