"Abdullah bin Shaddad and Abu Barzah had a dispute about paying in advance. They sent me to Abdullah bin Abu Awfa to ask him about it. He said: 'We used to make payments in advance at the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the time of Abu Bakr and Umar, for wheat, barley, raisins and dates, to people who did not yet possess those things.' I asked Ibn Abza, and he said something similar."

(the servant of the Prophet (saw)), that the Prophet (saw) said: "There is no Muslim - or no person, or slave (of Allah) - who says, in the morning and evening: 'Radaytu billahi Rabban wa bil-Islami dinan wa bi Muhammadin nabiyyan (I am content with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion and Muhammad as my Prophet),' but he will have a promise from Allah to make him pleased on the Day of Resurrection."

Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said from Sulayman ibn Yasar that Thabit ibn ad-Dahhak al-Ansari told him that he had found a camel at Harra, so he hobbled it and mentioned it to Umar ibn al-Khattab and Umar ordered him to make it known three times. Thabit said to him, "That would distract me from the running of my estate." Umar said to him, "Then let it go where you found it."

that the Prophet (saw) said: "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer. If it is complete, then the voluntary (prayers) will also be recorded for him (as an increase). If it is not complete then Allah will say to His angels: 'Look and see whether you find any voluntary prayers for My slave, and take them to make up what is lacking from his obligatory prayers.' Then all his deeds will be reckoned in like manner."

judgment. But he (Abu Talib) refused to do so. Then Allah
revealed this verse: " Verily thou canst not guide to the
right path whom thou lovest. And it is Allah Who guideth whom
He will and He knoweth best who are the guided" (xxviii. 56).
