Narrated/Authority of Abu Hurairah
that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Shall I not tell you of that by means of which Allah erases sins and raises (people) in status? Doing Wudu properly even when it is inconvenient, taking a lot of steps to the Masjid, and waiting for one Salah after another. That is the Ribat for you, that is the Ribat for you, that is the Ribat for you." (Sahih)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ayyub ibn Abi Tamima as-Sakhtayani from Muhammad ibn Sirin that Umar ibn al-Khattab was with some people who were reciting Qur'an. He went to relieve himself and then came back and recited Qur'an. One of the men said to him, "Amir al muminin, are you reciting the Qur'an without being in wudu?" Umar replied, "Who gave you a verdict on this? Was it Musaylima?"'

that when the Prophet (saw) performed Ghusl from Janabah he would start by washing his hands, then he would perform Wudu as for prayer, then he would dip his fingers in the water, then run them through his hair, then he would pour water over his head three times, then he would pour water over his entire body. (Sahih)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "No-one should pray over a dead person unless he is in wudu." Yahya said that he heard Malik say, "I have not seen any person of knowledge disapproving of praying over either a child born of adultery or its mother."

that two men performed Tayammum and prayed, then they found water when there was still time left for that prayer. One of them performed Wudu and repeated the prayer, and the other did not. They asked the Prophet (saw) about that and he said to the one who did not repeat the prayer: "You followed the Sunnah and your prayer is acceptable." And he said to the other: "And you will have something like the reward of two prayers." (Hasan)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Sumayy, the mawla of Abu Bakr ibn Abd ar-Rahman that al-Qaqa ibn Hakim and Zayd ibn Aslam sent him to Said ibn al-Musayyab to ask how a woman who was bleeding as if menstruating should do ghusl. Said said, "She does a ghusl to cover from the end of one period to the end of the next, and does wudu for every prayer, and if bleeding overtakes her she should bind her private parts."

that Habib said: "I heard Abbad bin Tammim narrate from my grandmother - who was Umm Umarah bint Kab - that the Prophet (saw) performed Wudu, and he was brought a vessel in which there were two thirds of a Mudd." Shubah said: I remember that he washed his forearms and started rubbing them, and he wiped the inside of his ear, but I do not remember whether he wiped the outside of them." (Sahih)

(One of the narrators) Abdul-Aziz said: "Someone who heard from Ibn Ajlan told me that he said concerning that: 'And he washed his feet.'" (Hasan)

Narrated/Authority of Al-Nazzal bin Sabrah
"I saw Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) praying Zuhr, then he sat to tend to the people's needs, and when the time for Asr came, a vessel of water was brought to him. He took a handful of it and wiped his face, forearms, head and feet with it, then he took what was left and drank standing up. He said: 'People dislike this, but I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) doing it. This is the Wudu of one who has not committed Hadath." (Sahih)
