Bukhari55 Muslim2 Abu Dawud1 Muwatta19 Ibn Majah37 Nasai1
Hadith No: 2480
From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 19, The Chapters on Pawning
Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Zubair
a man from among the Ansar had a dispute with Zubair in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (saw) concerning the streams of the Harrah with which he irrigated his palm trees. The Ansari said: "Let the water flow," but he refused. So they referred their dispute to the Messenger of Allah (saw). The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Irrigate (your trees) O Zubair, then let the water flow to your neighbor." The Ansari became angry and said: "O Messenger of Allah (saw), is it because he is your cousin (son of your paternal aunt)?" The expression of the Messenger of Allah (saw) changed, then he said: "O Zubair, irrigate (your trees) then retain the water until it reaches the walls." Zubair said: "I think this Verse was revealed concerning that: "But no, by your Lord, they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.'" From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 3, Knowledge
Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Umar
Once Allah's Apostle said, "Amongst the trees there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim, tell me the name of that tree." Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas and I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy (to answer). The others asked, "O Allah's Apostle! inform us of it." He replied, "it is the date-palm tree." I told my father what had come to my mind and on that he said, "Had you said it I would have preferred it to such and such a thing that I might possess."

Hadith No: 2470
From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 19, The Chapters on Pawning
Narrated/Authority of Simak
that he heard Musa bin Talhah bin Ubaidullah narrating that his father said: "I passed by some palm trees with the Messenger of Allah (saw) and he saw some people pollinating the trees. He said: 'What are these people doing?' They said: 'They are taking something from the male part (of the plant) and putting it in the female part.' He said: 'I do not think that this will do any good.' News of that reached them, so they stopped doing it, and their yield declined. News of that reached the Prophet (saw) and he said: 'That was only my thought. If it will do any good, then do it. I am only a human being like you, and what I think may be right or wrong. But When I tell you: "Allah (SWT) says," I will never tell lies about Allah (SWT).' "

From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 14, The Chapters on Business Transactions
Narrated/Authority of Najrani
"I said to Abdullah bin Umar: 'Can I pay in advance for a date palm before it bears fruit?' He said: 'No.' I said: 'Why not?' He said: 'A man paid in advance for a grove of trees during the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw), before they had produced any fruit, and they did not bear anything that year. The purchaser said: 'They belong to me until they produce but the seller said: 'I only sold the trees to you for this year! They referred their dispute to the Messenger of Allah who said to the seller: 'Did he take anything from your date palms?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Then why do you regard his wealth as lawful for You? Give back what you took from him, and do not take payment in advance for date palms until their usefulness appears."'

Hadith No: 28
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 53, Wills and Testaments (Wasaya)
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Umar
In the lifetime of Allah's Apostle (SAW) , Umar gave in charity some of his property, a garden of date-palms called Thamgh. Umar said, "O Allah's Apostle (SAW)! I have some property which I prize highly and I want to give it in charity." The Prophet (SAW); said, "Give it in charity (i.e. as an endowment) with its land and trees on the condition that the land and trees will neither be sold nor given as a present, nor bequeathed, but the fruits are to be spent in charity." So Umar gave it in charity, and it was for Allah's Cause, the emancipation of slaves, for the poor, for guests, for travellers, and for kinsmen. The person acting as its administrator could eat from it reasonably and fairly, and could let a friend of his eat from it provided he had no intention of becoming wealthy by its means.

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 8, Prayers (Salat)
Narrated/Authority of Anas
When the Prophet arrived Medina he dismounted at 'Awali-i-Medina amongst a tribe called Banu 'Amr bin 'Auf. He stayed there For fourteen nights. Then he sent for Bani An-Najjar and they came armed with their swords. As if I am looking (just now) as the Prophet was sitting over his Rahila (Mount) with Abu Bakr riding behind him and all Banu An-Najjar around him till he dismounted at the courtyard of Abu Aiyub's house. The Prophet loved to pray wherever the time for the prayer was due even at sheep-folds. Later on he ordered that a mosque should be built and sent for some people of Banu-An-Najjar and said, "O Banu An-Najjar! Suggest to me the price of this (walled) piece of land of yours." They replied, "No! By Allah! We do not demand its price except from Allah." Anas added: There were graves of pagans in it and some of it was unleveled and there were some date-palm trees in it. The Prophet ordered that the graves of the pagans be dug out and the unleveled land be level led and the date-palm trees be cut down . (So all that was done). They aligned these cut date-palm trees towards the Qibla of the mosque (as a wall) and they also built two stone side-walls (of the mosque). His companions brought the stones while reciting some poetic verses. The Prophet was with them and he kept on saying, "There is no goodness except that of the Hereafter, O Allah! So please forgive the Ansars and the emigrants."

Hadith No: 703
From: Sunan An-Nasai. Chapter 8, The Book of the Masjids
Narrated/Authority of Anas bin Malik
"When the Messenger of Allah (saw) came to Al-Madinah, he alighted in the upper part of Al-Madinah among the tribe called Banu Amr bin Awf and he stayed with them for fourteen nights. Then he sent for the chiefs of Banu An-Najjar, and they came with their swords by their sides. It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah (saw) on his she-camel with Abu Bakr riding behind him (on the same camel) and the chiefs of Banu An-Najjar around him, until he dismounted in the courtyard of Abu Ayyub. The Prophet (saw) used to offer the prayer wherever he was when the time came, and he would pray even in sheepfolds. Then he ordered that the Masjid be built. He sent for the chiefs of Banu An-Najjar, he said: 'O Banu An-Najjar, name me a price for this grove of yours.' They said: 'By Allah, we will not ask for its price except from Allah.'" Anas said: "In (that grove) there were graves of idolaters, ruins and date-palm trees. The Messenger of Allah (saw) ordered that the graves of the idolaters be dug up, the ruins be leveled and the date-palm trees be cut down. The trunks of the trees were arranged so as to form the wall facing the Qiblah. The stone pillars were built at the sides of its gate. They started to move the stones, reciting some lines of verse, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) was with them when they were saying: 'O Allah! There is no good except the good of the Hereafter. So bestow victory on the Ansar and the Muhajirin.'" (Sahih)
