"When the Messenger of Allah (saw) left Hunain, I was the tenth of a group of ten of the people of Makkah who were trying to catch up with them. We heard them calling the Adhan for the prayer and we started to repeat the Adhan, mocking them. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'I heard among these people the Adhan of one who has a beautiful voice.' He sent for us, and we recited the Adhan one by one, and I was the last of them. When I said the Adhan he said: 'Come here.' He sat me down in front of him and rubbed my forelock and blessed me three times, then he said: 'Go and give the Adhan at the Sacred House.' I said: 'How, O Messenger of Allah?' Hetaught me as you say the Adhan now: 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah; Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah; Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah; Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah; Hayya 'alas-salah, Hayya 'alas-salah; Hayya 'alal-falah, Hayya 'alal-falah; as-salatu khairun min an-nawm; as-salatu khairun min an-nawm (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah; Come to prayer, come to prayer; Come to prosperity, come to prosperity; prayer is better than sleep, prayer is better than sleep)' - in the first (Adhan) for As-Subh (Fajr). And he taught me the Iqamah, saying each phrase twice: 'allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar), Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah; Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah; Hayya 'alas-salah, Hayya 'alas-salah; Hayya 'alal-falah, Hayya 'alal-falah; qad qamatis-salah, qad qamatis-salah; Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; La ilaha illallah (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest); I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah; Come to prayer, come to prayer; Come to prosperity, come to prosperity; the prayer is about to begin, the prayer is about to begin; Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there is none worthy of worship except Allah)." (One of the narrators) Ibn Juraij said: "Uthman narrated this whole report to me from his father and from Umm 'Abdul-Malik bin Abi Mahdhurah, and (said that) they heard that from Abu Mahdhurah. "One day the Messenger of Allah (saw) appeared among the people. A man came to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is Iman (faith)?' He said: 'To believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers and the meeting with Him, and to believe in the final Resurrection.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is Islam?' He said: 'To worship Allah (alone) and not to associate anything with Him; to establish the prescribed prayers; to pay the obligatory Zakat; and to fast Ramadan.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is Ihsan?' He said: 'To worship Allah as if you see Him, for even though you do not see Him, He sees you.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when will the Hour be?' He said: 'The one who is being asked does not know more than the one who is asking, but I will tell you about its signs. When the slave-woman gives birth to her mistress, that is one of its signs. When the shepherds compete in constructing tall buildings, that is one of its signs. And there are five things which no one knows except Allah.' Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) recited the Verse: "Verily, Allah, with Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware (of things)."(31:34) (Sahih)

"I was with the Messenger of Allah (saw) on a journey. One morning I drew close to him when we were on the move and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me of an action that will gain me admittance to Paradise and keep me far away from Hell.' He said: 'You have asked for something great, but it is easy for the one for whom Allah makes it easy. Worship Allah and do not associate anything in worship with Him, establish prayer, pay charity, fast Ramadan, and perform Hajj to the House.' Then he said: 'Shall I not tell you of the means of goodness? Fasting is a shield, and charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire, and a man's prayer in the middle of the night.' Then he recited: "Their sides forsake their beds" until he reached: "As a reward for what they used to do."[32:16-17] Then he said: 'Shall I not tell you of the head of the matter, and its pillar and pinnacle? (It is) Jihad.' Then he said: 'Shall I not tell you of the basis of all that?' I said: 'Yes.' He took hold of his tongue then said: 'Restrain this.' I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, will we be brought to account for what we say?' He said: 'May your mother not found you, O Muadh! Are people thrown onto their faces in Hell for anything other than the harvest of their tongues?'"

that Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: Do you know the first of Allah's creation to enter Paradise? They said: Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) know best. He said: The first of Allah's creation to enter Paradise will be the poor and the emigrants through whom the boundaries are guarded and calamities are prevented. Their condition is that when anyone of them dies, his wish remains in his chest unfulfilled. Allah (SWT) says to whom He likes from among the angels: Go to them and greet them. The angels say: We are inhabitants of Your heaven and are the choicest of Your creation and still You want us to go and offer greetings to them? Allah says: Indeed they are the slaves who worship Me alone and associate none with Me (in any form of worship). Through them the boundaries are guarded and calamities are prevented. When anyone of them is dead, his wish remains in his chest unfulfilled. He said: So the angels will come to them and enter upon them from each door saying: "Salamun 'Alaikum (peace be upon you) for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home (of yours)! (This Hadith is considered sound by others, and reported in Musnad Ahmad).
