From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 24, Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat)
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
When Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) sent Muadh to Yemen, he said (to him), "YOU are going to people of a (Divine) Book. First of all invite them to worship Allah (alone) and when they come to know Allah, inform them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers in every day and night; and if they start offering these prayers, inform them that Allah has enjoined on them, the Zakat. And it is to be taken from the rich amongst them and given to the poor amongst them; and if they obey you in that, take Zakat from them and avoid (don't take) the best property of the people as Zakat."

Yahya related to me from Malik that Humayd ibn Qays al-Makki said, "A man came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with the two sons of Jafar ibn Abi Talib. He said to their nursemaid, 'Why do I see them so thin?' Their nursemaid said, 'Messenger of Allah, the evil eye goes quickly to them. Nothing stops us from asking someone to make incantations (using ayats of Quraan) for them, except that we do not know what of that would agree with you.' The Messenger of ,Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Make incantations for them. Had anything been able to precede the decree, the evil eye would precede it.' "

(the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes ' off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the Sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

My Ansari neighbour from Bani Umaiya bin Zaid who used to live at 'Awali Al-Medina and used to visit the Prophet by turns. He used to go one day and I another day. When I went I used to bring the news of that day regarding the Divine Inspiration and other things, and when he went, he used to do the same for me. Once my Ansari friend, in his turn (on returning from the Prophet), knocked violently at my door and asked if I was there." I became horrified and came out to him. He said, "Today a great thing has happened." I then went to Hafsa and saw her weeping. I asked her, "Did Allah's Apostle divorce you all?" She replied, "I do not know." Then, I entered upon the Prophet and said while standing, "Have you divorced your wives?" The Prophet replied in the negative. On what I said, "Allahu-Akbar (Allah is Greater)." From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 50, Witnesses
Narrated/Authority of Urwa bin Al-Musayyab, Alqama bin Waqqas and Ubaidullah bin Abdullah
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 50, Witnesses
Narrated/Authority of Urwa bin Al-Musayyab, Alqama bin Waqqas and Ubaidullah bin Abdullah
About the story of Aisha and their narrations were similar attesting each other, when the liars said what they invented about Aisha, and the Divine Inspiration was delayed, Allah's Apostle (SAW) sent for Ali and Usama to consult them in divorcing his wife (i.e. Aisha). Usama said, "Keep your wife, as we know nothing about her except good." Barira said, "I cannot accuse her of any defect except that she is still a young girl who sleeps, neglecting her family's dough which the domestic goats come to eat (i.e. she was too simple minded to deceive her husband)." Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "Who can help me to take revenge over the man who has harmed me by defaming the reputation of my family? By Allah, I have not known about my family anything except good, and they mentioned (i.e. accused) a man about whom I did not know anything except good."

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 54, Jihaad (Fighting for the cause of Allah)
Narrated/Authority of Sahl bin Saad Al-Saidi
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 54, Jihaad (Fighting for the cause of Allah)
Narrated/Authority of Sahl bin Saad Al-Saidi
I saw Marwan bin Al-Hakam sitting in the Mosque. So I came forward and sat by his side. He told us that Zaid bin Thabit had told him that Allah's Apostle (SAW) had dictated to him the Divine Verse:
"Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah." (4.95)
Zaid said, "Ibn Um-Maktum came to the Prophet (SAW) while he was dictating to me that very Verse. On that Ibn Um Maktum said, "O Allah's Apostle (SAW)! If I had power, I would surely take part in Jihad." He was a blind man. So Allah sent down revelation to His Apostle (SAW) while his thigh was on mine and it became so heavy for me that I feared that my thigh would be broken. Then that state of the Prophet (SAW) was over after Allah revealed "...except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame etc.) (4.95)

From: 110 Hadith Qudsi. Chapter 1, 110 Ahadith Qudsi (Sacred Hadith)
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: When your brethren were killed as martyrs
in the battle of Uhud, Allah put their souls into some green
birds which arrived at the rivers of Paradise, ate from its
fruits and took shelter beside lanterns, made of gold, and
suspended in the shade of the Divine Throne. When they
enjoued eating, drinking and sleeping, they said: Who will convey to our brethren on earth that: we are alive in
Paradise where we are provided with sustenance, so that
they would neither renounce fighting in the way of Allah
nor retreat at the time of war. Allah the Glorified said: I
shall inform them of you. The Prophet (SAW) said:
So Allah revealed this verse:
"Don't consider those killed in the way of Allah as
dead, rather they are alive with their Lord being
provided with sustenance".(3:169)

Da'ud).

Narrated/Authority of Anas
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 51, Peacemaking (Reconciliation)
Narrated/Authority of Anas
It was said to the Prophet (SAW) "Would that you see Abdullah bin Ubai." So, the Prophet (SAW) went to him, riding a donkey, and the Muslims accompanied him, walking on salty barren land. When the Prophet (SAW) reached Abdullah bin Ubai, the latter said, "Keep away from me! By Allah, the bad smell of your donkey has harmed me." On that an Ansari man said (to Abdullah), "By Allah! The smell of the donkey of Allah's Apostle (SAW) is better than your smell." On that a man from Abdullah's tribe got angry for Abdullah's sake, and the two men abused each other which caused the friends of the two men to get angry, and the two groups started fighting with sticks, shoes and hands. We were informed that the following Divine Verse was revealed (in this concern): "And if two groups of Believers fall to fighting then, make peace between them." (49.9)

We asked Abdullah bin Masud (R.A) about this verse:
"Think not of those who have been killed in the way
of Allah as dead; rather they are alive with their Lord
being provided with sustenance." (3:169)
He (Abdullah bin Masud R.A) said: We asked the
Prophet (SAW) the meaning of this verse. So he explained it like this:
Their souls are inside some green birds beside lanterns
suspended from the Divine Throne roaming freely in
Paradise wherever they like. Then they take shelter at those
lanterns. Once their Lord looked at them and said: Do you
want anything else? They said: What more shall we want?
We roam freely in Paradise as we like. Allah asked them the
same question three times. When they felt that they would
not be spared from being asked, they said: 0 Lord! We like
You to put back our souls into our bodies so that we may be
killed in Your way once again. As Allah saw that they had
no wish, they would be let for joy in heaven.

Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 12, Characteristics of Prayer
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
One night I slept at the house of my aunt Maimuna and the Prophet slept (too). He got up (for prayer) in the last hours of the night and performed a light ablution from a hanging leather skin. ('Amr, the sub-narrator described that the ablution was very light). Then he stood up for prayer and I got up too and performed the ablution in the same way and joined him on his left side. He pulled me to the right and prayed as much as Allah will. Then he lay down and slept and I heard his breath sounds till the Mu'adh-dhin came to him to inform him about the (Fajr) prayer. He left with him for the prayer and prayed without repeating the ablution. (Sufyan the subnarrator said: We said to 'Amr, "Some people say, 'The eyes of the Prophet sleep but his heart never sleeps.' " 'Amr said, "'Ubai bin 'Umar said, 'The dreams of the Prophets are Divine Inspirations. Then he recited, '(O my son), I have seen in dream that I was slaughtering you (offering you in sacrifice).")
