From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 33, The Chapters on Drinks
Narrated/Authority of Asim bin Muhammad bin Zaid bin Abdullah
from his father, that his grandfather said: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) forbade us to drink while (lying) on our bellies, lapping up water, and he forbade us to drink from one hand only. He said: 'None of you should lap up water as a dog does, and he should not drink water from one hand as the people with whom Allah is angry do, and he should not drink from a vessel at night without stirring it first, unless the vessel was covered. Whoever drinks from his hand when he is able to drink from a vessel, with the intention of humility, Allah will record good deeds equivalent to the number of fingers for him. It (i.e., the hand) is the vessel of 'Eisa bin Maryam, (as) when he threw away the cup and said: 'Ugh! That belongs to this world.'"

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 31, Fasting
Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle forbade Al-Wisal in fasting. So, one of the Muslims said to him, "But you practice Al-Wisal. O Allah's Apostle!" The Prophet replied, "Who amongst you is similar to me? I am given food and drink during my sleep by my Lord." So, when the people refused to stop Al-Wisal (fasting continuously), the Prophet fasted day and night continuously along with them for a day and then another day and then they saw the crescent moon (of the month of Shawwal). The Prophet said to them (angrily), "If It (the crescent) had not appeared, I would have made you fast for a longer period."
