We came to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) to provide us with a mount, and found him using the tooth-stick, its one end being at his tongue (i.e. he was rinsing his mouth).
According to the version of Sulaiman it goes: I entered upon the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) who was using the tooth-stick and had placed it at one side of his tongue, producing a gurgling sound.

Narrated/Authority of Ammar ibn Yasir
The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: The rinsing of the mouth and snuffing up water in the nose are acts that bear the characteristics of fitrah(nature). He then narrated a simmilar tradition (as reported by Aisha), but he did not mention the words "letting the beard grow." He added the words "circumcision" and "sprinkling water on the private part of the body."He did not mention the words "cleansing oneself after easing."
Abu Dawud said: A simmilar tradition has been reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas. He mentioned only five sunnahs all relating to the head, one of them being parting of the hair; it did not include the wearing of the beard.
Abu Dawud said: The tradition as reported by Hammad has also been transmitted by Talq bin Habib, Mujahid, and Bakr bin Abdullah bin al-Muzani as their own statement (not as a tradition of the Prophet). They did not mention the words "letting the beard grow. The version transmitted by Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abi Maryam, Abu Salamah, and Abu Hurairah from the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) mentions the words "letting the beard grow." A similar tradition has been reported by Ibrahim al-Nakhai. He mentioned the words "wearing the beard and circumcision."

From: Sunan Abu Dawood. Chapter 1, Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah)
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
I spent a night with the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him). When he woke up from his sleep (in the later part of the night for prayer) he came to his ablution water. He took the toothstick and used it. He then recited the verse: "Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are tokens (of His Soverignity) for men of understanding" (Quran iii. 190). He then recited these verses almost upto the end of the chapter or he finished the whole chapter. He then performed ablution and came to the place of prayer. He then said two rak'ahs of prayer. He then lay down on the bed and slept as much as Allah wished. He then got up and did the same. He then lay down and slept. He then got up and did the same. Everytime he used the tooth-stick and offered two rak'ahs of prayer. He then offered the prayer known as witr.
Abu Dawud said: Fudail on the Authority of Husain reported the wording: He then used the tooth-stick and performed ablution while he was reciting the verses: "Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth..." until he finished the chapter.

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 24, Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat)
Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
The Prophet said, "(On the Day of Resurrection) camels will come to their owner in the best state of health they have ever had (in the world), and if he had not paid their Zakat (in the world) then they would tread him with their feet; and similarly, sheep will come to their owner in the best state of health they have ever had in the world, and if he had not paid their Zakat, then they would tread him with their hooves and would butt him with their horns." The Prophet added, "One of their rights is that they should be milked while water is kept in front of them." The Prophet added, "I do not want anyone of you to come to me on the Day of Resurrection, carrying over his neck a sheep that will be bleating. Such a person will (then) say, 'O Muhammad! (please intercede for me,) I will say to him. 'I can't help you, for I conveyed Allah's Message to you.' Similarly, I do not want anyone of you to come to me carrying over his neck a camel that will be grunting. Such a person (then) will say "O Muhammad! (please intercede for me)." I will say to him, "I can't help you for I conveyed Allah's message to you."

Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever is made wealthy by Allah and does not pay the Zakat of his wealth, then on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made like a bald-headed poisonous male snake with two black spots over the eyes. The snake will encircle his neck and bite his cheeks and say, 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.' " Then the Prophet recited the holy verses:-- 'Let not those who withhold . . .' (to the end of the verse). (3.180).
