Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet and Zaid bin Thabit took the 'Suhur' together and after finishing the meal, the Prophet stood up and prayed (Fajr prayer)." I asked Anas, "How long was the interval between finishing their 'Suhur' and starting the prayer?" He replied, "The interval between the two was just sufficient to recite fifty 'Ayat." (Verses of the Quran)."

"I heard Abdur-Rahman bin Ya'mur Dili say: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) when he was standing at Arafat, and some people from Najd came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is Hajj?" He said: "Hajj is 'Arafah. Whoever comes before Fajr prayer on the night of Jam', he has completed his Hajj. The days at Mina are three. 'But whosoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin on him and whosoever stays on, there is no sin on him.'" [2:203] Then he seated a man behind him on his mount and he started calling out these words.'"

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that Dhakwan Abu Amr (a slave belonging to A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who was freed by her after her death) used tostand in prayer and recite for her in Ramadan.

that Allah' s Messenger (PBUH) said: Some angels come to you in succession by night and some others come to you by day. they meet together at the time of Dawn (Fajr) and Afternoon (Asr) prayers. Then those who passed the night with you, ascend to heaven. There Allah asks them though He knows best about them: In what state did you leave My slaves? The angels reply: When we left them, they were offering prayers and when we reached them, they were offering prayers.
(This Hadith is sound and reported by Bukhari and
Muslim).

that his father said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (saw) on a journey, and we kept going one night, then when it was nearly morning the Messenger of Allah (saw) dismounted and slept, and the people slept too. We did not wake up until the sun had risen. The Messenger of Allah (saw) asked the Mu'adhdhin to call the Adhan, then he prayed the two Rakahs before Fajr, then he asked him to say the Iqamah, then he led the people in prayer. Then he told us about everything that will happen until the Hour begins." (Hasan)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Harmala al-Aslami from Said ibn al-Musayyab that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "What separates us from the hypocrites is being present at isha and subh. They cannot do it," or words to that effect.
