Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) came to my house while two girls were singing beside me the songs of Buath (a story about the war between the two tribes of the Ansar, the Khazraj and the Aus, before Islam). The Prophet (p.b.u.h) lay down and turned his face to the other side. Then Abu Bakr came and spoke to me harshly saying, "Musical instruments of Satan near the Prophet (p.b.u.h)?" Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) turned his face towards him and said, "Leave them." When Abu Bakr became inattentive, I signalled to those girls to go out and they left. It was the day of Eid, and the Black people were playing with shields and spears; so either I requested the Prophet (p.b.u.h) or he asked me whether I would like to see the display. I replied in the affirmative. Then the Prophet (p.b.u.h) made me stand behind him and my cheek was touching his cheek and he was saying, "Carry on! O Bani Arfida," till I got tired. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked me, "Are you satisfied (Is that sufficient for you)?" I replied in the affirmative and he told me to leave.

From: 110 Hadith Qudsi. Chapter 1, 110 Ahadith Qudsi (Sacred Hadith)
Narrated/Authority of Abu Said Al-Khudri
He quoted Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as saying to his Companions that: a man from among the early people or from those before you had said a word, i.e. Allah had
blessed him with wealth and sons. When death approached him, he asked his sons: How was I being as a father? They
replied: You were the best father. He said: I didn't save or
perform any good deeds for Allah. If Allah takes
possession of me, He will punish me. So, look! when I am
dead, burn me until I become coal then crush me well and
scatter (my ashes in the air) on a stormy day. The Prophet (SAW) said: He took a covenant from his sons (and
died). They did according to his will and spread his ashes
in the air on a stormy day. Allah (SWT) said: Be and there
he was embodied before Him. Allah, the Exalted, asked
him: my slave! what induced you to do what you did.
He replied: It was Your fear (so that I may not appear
before You). The Prophet (SAW) added: Allah, the
Exalted rewarded him with His Mercy; the Prophet (SAW) said second time: Allah did not punish him.

Muslim).

That he asked for a salt flat called the salt flat of the Marib Dam to be given to him, and it was given to him. Then Aqra bin Habis At-Tamimi came to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and said: "O Messenger of Allah (saw), I used to come to the salt flat during the Ignorance period and it was in a land in which there was no water, and whoever came to it took from it. It was (plentiful) like flowing water." So the Messenger of Allah (saw) asked Abyad bin Hammal to give back his share of the salt flat. He said: "I give it to you on the basis that you make it charity given by me." The Messenger of Allah said: "It is a charity from you, and it is like flowing water, whoever comes to it may take from it."(One of the narrators) Faraj said: "That is how it is today, whoever comes to it takes from it." He said: "The Prophet (saw) gave him land and palm trees in Jurf Murad instead, when he took back the salt flat from him." Hasan

A man came to Allah's Apostle (SAW) asking him about Islam, Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "You have to offer five compulsory prayers in a day and a night (24 hours)." The man asked, "Is there any more compulsory prayers for me?" Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "No, unless you like to offer Nawafil (i.e. optional prayers)." Allah's Apostle (SAW) then added, "You have to observe saum (fasts) during the month of Ramadan." The man said, "Am I to fast any other days?' Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "No, unless you wish to observe the optional fast voluntarily." Then Allah's Apostle (SAW) told him about the compulsory Zakat. The man asked, "Do I have to give anything besides?" Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "No, unless you wish to give in charity voluntarily." So, the man departed saying, "By Allah I will neither do more nor less than that." Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "If he has said the truth he will be successful."
