Abdullah ibn Abu Ziyad narrated this hadith to us having heard it from Shababah ibn Sawwar who from Muhammad (SAW) ibn Tahah who from Humayd who from Thabit and he from Sayyidina Anas (RA) that during his illness that led to his death, the Prophet (SAW) offered salah by the side Sayyidina Abu Bakr (RA) sitting down wrapped in a garment.

Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Umar
that
the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: (The
superstructure of) al-Islam is raised on five (pillars),
testifying (the fact) that there is no god but Allah, that
Muhammad is His bondsman and messenger, and the establishment
of prayer, payment of Zakat, Pilgrimage to the House (Ka'ba)
and the fast of Ramadan.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Abu'r-Rijal Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman heard his mother Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cursed both men and women who dug up," meaning those who dug up graves.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Abu Nahshal ibn al-Aswad said to al-Qasim ibn Muhammad,"I saw a slave-girl of mine uncovered in the moonlight, and so I sat on her as a man sits on a woman. She said that she was menstruating, so I stood up and have not gone near her after that. Can I give her to my son to have intercourse with?" Al-Qasim forbade that.

Malik related to me from Abur-Rijal Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman from his mother Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that she informed him that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not withhold the surplus water of a well from people."

Abu Sufyan told me that Heraclius said to him, "When I enquired you what he (i.e. Muhammad) ordered you, you replied that he ordered you to establish the prayer, to speak the truth, to be chaste, to keep promises and to pay back trusts." Then Heraclius added, "These are really the qualities of a prophet." (see hadith 6 vol 1)

Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab said, "Every divorced woman has compensation."
Malik said, "I have also heard the same as that from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad."
Malik said, "There is no fixed limit among us as to how small or large the compensation is."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ismail ibn Muhammad ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas that Musab ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas said, "I was holding the Book for Sad ibn Abi Waqqas and I rubbed myself. Sad said, 'Did you touch your penis?' I replied, 'Yes,' and he said, 'Get up and do wudu.' So I got up and did wudu and then returned."

The verdict that water (bath) is necessary when there is emission given by the people (in the early days of Islam) was due to the concession granted by the Apostle of Allah in the beginning of Islam. He then com-manded to take a bath (in such a case).
Abu Dawud said: By Abu Ghassän is meant Muhammad b. Mutarrif.
