From: Sunan at-Tirmidhi (Jami-al-Tirmidhi). Chapter 2, Salah (Prayers)
Narrated/Authority of Hurayth ibn Qabisah
When I came to Madinah, I prayed, "O Allah! let me have a righteous companion." So, I sat down with Abu Hurayrah (RA) and said to him "I requested Allah to let me have a righteous companion. So, narrate to me a Hadith that you may have heard from Allah's Messenger that Allah may benefit me with it." So, he said, "I heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) say, "The first thing a slave will be called to account from his deeds on the Day of Resurrection will be his salah. So, if it is correct then he wil succeed and earn deliverance, but if it is corrupted then he will fail and lose. If there is some shortcoming in his fard, the Lord Blessed and Elevated will say, 'Examine and see! HasMy slave any optional deeds that the shortcomings in the fard might be offset.' Then all his deeds will be (recompensed) in that way.'

Narrated/Authority of Abdullah As-Sunabihi
that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "When the believing slave performs Wudu and rinses his mouth, his sins come out from his mouth. When he sniffs water into his nose and blows it out, his sins come out from his nose. When he washes his face, his sins come out from his face, even from beneath his eyelashes. When he washes his hands, his sins come out from his hands, even from beneath his fingernails. When he wipes his head, his sins come out from his head, even from his ears. When he washes his feet, his sins come out from his feet, even from beneath his toenails. Then his walking to the Masjid and his Salah will earn extra merit for him." (Hasan)

Narrated/Authority of Huraith bin Qabisah
"I arrived in Al-Madinah and said: 'O Allah, make it easy for me to find a righteous companion.' Then I sat with Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: 'I prayed to Allah to help me find a righteous companion.' So tell me a Hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (saw), so that Allah might benefit me from it. He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account will be his Salah. If it is sound then he will have succeeded, be salvaged, but if it is not then he will have lost and be doomed." - (One of the narrators) Hammam said: "I do not know whether this was the words of Qatadah or part of the report." - "If anything is lacking from his obligatory prayers, He will say: 'Look and see whether My slave has any voluntary prayers to make up for what is deficient from his obligatory prayers.' Narrated/Authority of Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Malik bin Abi Mahdhurah
From: Sunan An-Nasai. Chapter 7, The Book of the Adhan (The Call to Prayer)
Narrated/Authority of Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Malik bin Abi Mahdhurah
that Abdullah bin Muhairiz - who was an orphan under the care of Abu Mahdhurah until he prepared him to go to Ash-Sham - informed him: he said: "I said to Abu Mahdhurah: 'I am going to Ash-Sham and I am afraid that I will be asked about how you say the Adhan.'" He told me that Abu Mahdhurah said to him: "I went out with a group of people and we were somewhere on the road to Hunain when the Messenger of Allah (saw) was coming back from Hunain. The Messenger of Allah (saw) met us somewhere on the road, and the Mu'adhdhin of the Messenger of Allah (saw) called the Adhan for the prayer in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (saw). We heard the voice of the Mu'adhdhin, and we were careless about it (the Adhan), so we started yelling, imitating it and mocking it. The Messenger of Allah (saw) heard us, so he sent some people who brought us to stand in front of him. He said: 'Who is the one whose voice I heard so loud?' The people all pointed to me, and they were telling the truth. He sent them all away, but he kept me there and said to me: 'Stand up and call the Adhan for the prayer.' I stood up and the Messenger of Allah (saw) taught me the Adhan himself. He said: 'Say: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah; Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah).' Then he said: 'Then repeat and say in a loud voice: 'Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah; Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah; Hayya 'alas-salah, Hayya 'alas-salah; Hayya 'alal-falah, Hayya 'alal-falah; Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah; Come to prayer, come to prayer; Come to prosperity, come to prosperity; Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there is none worthy of worship except Allah).' Then he called me when I had finished saying the Adhan, and he gave me a bundle in which there was some silver. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, let me be the one doing the Adhan in Makkah.' He said: 'I command you to do so.' Then I came to 'Attab bin Asid who was the governor of the Messenger of Allah (saw) in Makkah, and I called the Adhan for prayer with him upon the orders of the Messenger of Allah (saw)." (Hasan)

From: Sunan An-Nasai. Chapter 1, The Book of Purification
Narrated/Authority of Al-Mughirah
"We were with the Prophet (saw) on a journey, and he tapped me on the back with a stick he had with him, then he turned off (route) and I turned off with him until he came to such and such an area. Then he made his camel stop and went away until he came back and said: 'Do you have water with you?' I had a water skin with me, so I brought it out and poured it for him. He washed his hands and face and began to wash his arms, but he was wearing a Syrian Jubbah that had narrow sleeves, so he brought his arms out beneath the Jubbah and washed his hands and arms, and wiped his forelock a little and his turban a little." - Ibn Awn said: "I cannot remember it well - then he wiped over his Khuffs." Then he said: 'What do you need?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I do not need anything.' Then we came and Abdur-Rahman bin Awf was leading the people in Salah, and he had led them in one Rakah of the Subh (Fajr) prayer. I wanted to tell him that the Prophet (saw) had arrived but he did not let me, so we prayed what we had caught up with and made up what we had missed.'" (Sahih)

Narrated/Authority of Amra bint Abdur Rahman
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 33, Retiring to a Mosque for Remembrance of Allah (Itikaf)
Narrated/Authority of Amra bint Abdur Rahman
on the authority of Aisha: Allah's Messenger (SAW) mentioned that he would practice Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. Aisha asked his permission perform Itikaf and he permitted her. Hafsa asked Aisha to take permission for her, and she did so. When Zainab bint Jahsh saw that, she ordered a tent to be pitched for her. Allah's Messenger (SAW) used to proceed to his tent after the salah (prayer). So, he saw the tents and asked, "What is this?" He was told that those were the tents of Aisha, Hafsa and Zainab. Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Is it Al-Birr (righteousness) which they intended by doing so? I am not going to perform Itikaf." So, he returned home, When the fasting month was over, he performed Itikaf for ten days in the month of Shawwal.

Narrated/Authority of Ibn Juraij
From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 5, The Chapters on the Adhan and the Sunnah Regarding it
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Juraij
"Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul-Malik bin Abu Mahdhurah narrated from Abdullah bin Muhairiz who was an orphan under the care of Abu Mahdhurah bin Miyar that when he was preparing him to travel to Sham, he said: 'O my uncle, I am going out to Sham, and I will be asked how you started the Adhan.' So he informed me that. Abu Mahdhurah said: 'I went out with a group of people, and we were somewhere on the road, when the Muadh-dhin of the Messenger of Allah (saw) gave the call to prayer in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (saw). We heard the voice of the Muadh-dhin, and we were shunning it (the Adhan), so we started yelling, imitating it and mocking it. The Messenger of Allah (saw) heard us, so he sent some people who brought us to sit in front of him. He said: 'Who is the one whose voice I heard so loud?' The people all pointed to me, and they were all telling the truth. He sent them all away, but kept me there and said to me: 'Stand up and give the call to prayer.' I stood up and there was nothing more hateful to me than the Messenger of Allah (saw) and what he was telling me to do. I stood up in front of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the Messenger of Allah (saw) himself taught me the call. He said: "Say: 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah (Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most Great; I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah).'" Then he said: "Raise your voice (and say). Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah; Hayya alas-salah, Hayya alas-salah; Hayya alal-falah, Hayya alal-falah; Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah (; I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah; Come to the prayer, Come to the prayer; Come to the prosperity, Come to the prosperity; Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most Great, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah).'" Then he called me when I had finished saying the Adhan, and gave me a small bag in which there was some silver.' Then he put his hand on the forelock of Abu Mahdhurah, then passed it over his face, then over his chest, and over his heart, until the hand of the Messenger of Allah (saw) reached his navel. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'May Allah bless you and send blessings upon you.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, do you command me to give the call to prayer in Makkah? He said: 'Yes, I command you (to do so).' Then all the hatred I had felt towards the Messenger of Allah disappeared, and was replaced with love for the Messenger of Allah (saw). I came to Attab bin Asid, the governor of the Messenger of Allah (saw) in Makkah, and gave the call to prayer with him by command of the Messenger of Allah (saw)." (Sahih)
He (Abdul-Aziz) said: "Someone who met Abu Mahdhurah told me the same as Abdullah bin Muhairiz told me."

Narrated/Authority of Abu Hurairah
From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 4, The Book of the Prayer
Narrated/Authority of Abu Hurairah
that when the Messenger of Allah (saw) was coming back from the battle of Khaibar, night came and he felt sleepy, so he made camp and said to Bilal: "Keep watch for us tonight." Bilal prayed as much as Allah decreed for him, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) and his Companions went to sleep. When dawn was approaching, Bilal went to his mount, facing towards the east, watching for the dawn. Then Bilal's eyes grew heavy while he was leaning on his mount (and he slept). Neither Bilal nor any of his Companions woke until they felt the heat of the sun. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was the first one to wake up. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was startled and said: "O Bilal!" Bilal said: "The same thing happened to me as happened to you. May my father and mother be ransomed for you, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "Bring you mounts forward a little." So they brought their mounts forward a little (away from that place). Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) performed ablution and told Bilal to call the Iqamah for prayer, and he led them in prayer. When the Prophet (saw) finished praying, he said: "Whoever forgets a Salah, let him pray it when he remembers, for Allah says: And perform the prayer for My remembrance."[20:14] He (one of the narrators) said: "Ibn Shihab used to recite this Verse as meaning, 'when you remember.'"

that the Prophet (saw) sat him down and taught him the Adhan letter by letter. (One of the narrators) Ibrahim said: "It is like this Adhan of ours." I said:* "Recite it to me." He said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest), Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah) - twice, Ashhadu anna Muhammdan Rasulullah (I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah) - twice. Then he said in a lower voice which those around him could hear: Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah) - twice, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah (I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah) - twice, Haya 'ala as-salah (come to prayer) - twice, Hayya 'alal-falah (come to prosperity) - twice, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallah (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is none worthy of worship except Allah). (Hasan)
Bishir bin Mu'adh who heard it from Ibrahim, and from whom An-Nasa'i is reporting it, is the one who is asking for the Adhan to be recited to him.
