that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "The truest of words spoken by the poet are the words of Labid: Everything except Allah is false.' And Abu Umayyah bin Abu Salt nearly accepted Islam." (Labid was an Arab poet who embraced Islam. He died during the caliphate of Muawiyah.)
