From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 11, The Chapters on Marriage
Narrated/Authority of Ali bin Husain
that Miswar bin Makhramah told him that: Ali bin Abu Talib proposed to the daughter of Abu Jahl, when he was married to Fatimah the daughter of the Prophet (saw). When Fatimah heard of that she went to the Prophet (saw), and said: "Your people are saying that you do not feel angry for your daughters. This Ali is going to marry the daughter of Abu Jahl." Miswar said: "The Prophet (saw) stood up, and I heard him when he bore witness (i.e., said the Shahddah), then he said: 'I married my daughter (Zainab) to Abul-As bin Rabi', and he spoke to me and was speaking the truth. Fatimah bint Muhammad is a part of me, and I hate to see her faced with troubles. By Allah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the daughter of the enemy of Allah will never be joined together in marriage to one man."He said: So, Ali abandoned the marriage proposal.

When the Prophet arrived Medina he dismounted at 'Awali-i-Medina amongst a tribe called Banu 'Amr bin 'Auf. He stayed there For fourteen nights. Then he sent for Bani An-Najjar and they came armed with their swords. As if I am looking (just now) as the Prophet was sitting over his Rahila (Mount) with Abu Bakr riding behind him and all Banu An-Najjar around him till he dismounted at the courtyard of Abu Aiyub's house. The Prophet loved to pray wherever the time for the prayer was due even at sheep-folds. Later on he ordered that a mosque should be built and sent for some people of Banu-An-Najjar and said, "O Banu An-Najjar! Suggest to me the price of this (walled) piece of land of yours." They replied, "No! By Allah! We do not demand its price except from Allah." Anas added: There were graves of pagans in it and some of it was unleveled and there were some date-palm trees in it. The Prophet ordered that the graves of the pagans be dug out and the unleveled land be level led and the date-palm trees be cut down . (So all that was done). They aligned these cut date-palm trees towards the Qibla of the mosque (as a wall) and they also built two stone side-walls (of the mosque). His companions brought the stones while reciting some poetic verses. The Prophet was with them and he kept on saying, "There is no goodness except that of the Hereafter, O Allah! So please forgive the Ansars and the emigrants."

The Muadhdhin (call-maker) of the Prophet pronounced the Adhan (call) for the Zuhr prayer but the Prophet said, "Let it be cooler, let it be cooler." Or said, 'Wait, wait, because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. In severe hot weather, pray when it becomes (a bit) cooler and the shadows of hillocks appear."

Narrated/Authority of Malik bin Huwairth
We went to the Prophet and we were all young men and stayed with him for about twenty nights. The Prophet was very merciful. He said, "When you return home, impart religious teachings to your families and tell them to offer perfectly such and such a prayer at such and such a time and such and such a prayer at such and such a time. And al the time of the prayer one of you should pronounce the Adhan and the oldest of you should lead the prayer."

Narrated/Authority of Ibn Masud
that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: On the Day of Resurrection nations will
be brought. When I see my nation (Ummah) I will be
amazed at their multitudes and (distinguished) form. They
will have filled up the plain lands as well as the
mountains. Allah will ask me: Are you satisfied? I will
say: Yes, 0 my Lord: He will say: Along with these (people), seventy thousand persons (i.e., so many) will
enter Paradise without rendering an account. They will be
those who neither cure themselves with Ruqya
(recitations) nor get themselves branded (cauterized), nor
take omens but they instead repose trust in their Lord.
Upon this, 'Ukkasha said: Supplicate Allah (that He makes
me one among them), the Prophet (SAW) said: 0
Allah! Make him one of them. Another person said:
Invoke a blessing for me too (that Allah makes me one
among them). The Prophet (SAW) said: 'Ukkasha has
preceded you in this matter.

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 12, Characteristics of Prayer
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas
The Prophet set out with the intention of going to Suq 'Ukaz (market of 'Ukaz) along with some of his companions. At the same time, a barrier was put between the devils and the news of heaven. Fire commenced to be thrown at them. The Devils went to their people, who asked them, "What is wrong with you?" They said, "A barrier has been placed between us and the news of heaven. And fire has been thrown at us." They said, "The thing which has put a barrier between you and the news of heaven must be something which has happened recently. Go eastward and westward and see what has put a barrier between you and the news of heaven." Those who went towards Tuhama came across the Prophet at a place called Nakhla and it was on the way to Suq 'Ukaz and the Prophet was offering the Fajr prayer with his companions. When they heard the Qur'an they listened to it and said, "By Allah, this is the thing which has put a barrier between us and the news of heaven." They went to their people and said, "O our people; verily we have heard a wonderful recital (Qur'an) which shows the true path; we believed in it and would not ascribe partners to our Lord." Allah revealed the following verses to his Prophet (Sura 'Jinn') (72): "Say: It has been revealed to me." And what was revealed to him was the conversation of the Jinns.

Narrated/Authority of Anas
It was said to the Prophet (SAW) "Would that you see Abdullah bin Ubai." So, the Prophet (SAW) went to him, riding a donkey, and the Muslims accompanied him, walking on salty barren land. When the Prophet (SAW) reached Abdullah bin Ubai, the latter said, "Keep away from me! By Allah, the bad smell of your donkey has harmed me." On that an Ansari man said (to Abdullah), "By Allah! The smell of the donkey of Allah's Apostle (SAW) is better than your smell." On that a man from Abdullah's tribe got angry for Abdullah's sake, and the two men abused each other which caused the friends of the two men to get angry, and the two groups started fighting with sticks, shoes and hands. We were informed that the following Divine Verse was revealed (in this concern): "And if two groups of Believers fall to fighting then, make peace between them." (49.9)

that he
observed. I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon
him) which deed was the best. He (the Holy Prophet) replied:
Prayer at its appointed hour. I (again) said: Then what? He
(the Holy Prophet) replied: Kindness to the parents. I (again)
said: Then what? He replied: Earnest endeavour (Jihad) in the
cause of Allah. And I would have not ceased asking more
questions but out of regard (for his feelings).
