The Prophet said, "A woman should not travel except with a Dhu-Mahram (her husband or a man with whom that woman cannot marry at all according to the Islamic Jurisprudence), and no man may visit her except in the presence of a Dhu-Mahram." A man got up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I intend to go to such and such an army and my wife wants to perform Hajj." The Prophet said (to him), "Go along with her (to Hajj)."

Malik related to me from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha that Anas ibn Malik said, "I heard Umar ibn al-Khattab, when I was going out with him to visit an orchard, say to himself, and there was a wall between him and me and he was inside the garden, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, amir al-muminin! Well done! Well done! By Allah, fear Allah or he will punish you.' "

"My paternal uncle through breastfeeding, Aflah bin Abu Quais, came and asked permission to visit me, after the ruling on veiling had been enjoined, and I refused to let him in, until the Prophet (saw) came in and said: 'He is your paternal uncle; let him in.' I said: 'But it is the woman who breastfed me; the man did not breastfeed me.' He said: 'May your hands be rubbed with dust', or: 'May your right hand be rubbed with dust!"

that his father said: "I became sick during the year of the Conquest, and was at death's door. The Messenger of Allah (saw) came to visit me and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (saw), I have a great deal of wealth and no one will inherit from me apart from my daughter. Can I give two thirds of my wealth in charity?' He said: 'No.' I said: 'Then half?' He said: 'No.' I said: 'One third?' He said: One third and one third is a lot. If you leave your heirs rich that is better than leaving them destitute and begging from people." Sahih

I went to visit 'Abdullah bin Umar at his house which contained many tents made of cotton cloth and these were encircled with Suradik (part of the tent). I asked him from where, should one assume Ihram for Umra. He said, "Allah's Apostle had fixed as Miqat (singular of Mawaqit) Qarn for the people of Najd, Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham."

A person died and Allah's Apostle used to visit him. He died at night and (the people) buried him at night. In the morning they informed the Prophet (about his death). He said, "What prevented you from informing me?" They replied, "It was night and it was a dark night and so we disliked to trouble you." The Prophet went to his grave and offered the (funeral) prayer.

I heard Al-Bara bin Azib saying, "The Prophet (SAW) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara mentioned (He (SAW) ordered us the following): (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health), (2) to follow funeral processions, (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"), (4) to return greetings, (5) to help the oppressed, (6) to accept invitations, (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths. Abu Atiyah as saying that Malik ibn Huwayrith used to visit them at their place of salah and narrated a hadith to them. One day, it was time for salah and they requested him to lead them (in prayers). He said, "Let one of you lead that I might disclose why I do not lead you in salah. I had heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) say that one who visits a people should not become their imam, but one of their own must lead them (in salah)." [Ahmed 15602, Nisai 786, Abu Dawud 596]

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to visit the sick, attend funerals, accept the invitations of slaves and ride donkeys. On the day (of the battle) of Quraizah and Nadir, he was riding a donkey. On the day of Khaibar he was riding a donkey that was bridled with palmfibers and beneath him was a packsaddle made of palmfibers."

"We went out and with us was Ghalib bin Abjar. He fell sick along the way, and when we came to Al-Madinah he was sick. Ibn Abu 'Atiq came to visit him and said to us: 'You should use this black seed. Take five or seven (seeds) and grind them to a powder, then drop them into his nose with drops of olive oil, on this side and on this side. For Aisha narrated to them that she heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: "This black seed is a healing for every disease, except the Sam." I said: "What is the Sam?" He said: "Death."
