I heard Prophet Muhammad (SAW) saying that: a sin was committed
by one of the slaves or may be he said, that: one of the
slaves committed a sin. He said: 0 my Lord! I have
committed a sin, or he said, a sin was committed by me.
So please forgive me. His Lord would say: Does My slave
know that he has a Lord who can forgive him and (if He
likes) can punish him. Anyhow, I have forgiven My slave.
No sooner does the time elapse as much as Allah wishes,
than is another sin committed by him or he commits another sin. He says: 0 my Lord! I have committed a sin,
or a sin was committed by me. So please forgive it. Allah
will observe: Does My slave know that he has a Lord who
can forgive him and (if He likes) punish him too. Anyhow,
I have forgiven him again. No sooner does the time elapse
as much as Allah wishes, than is another sin committed by
him or he commits another sin. He says: 0 my Lord! I
have committed another sin, or sometimes he says another
sin is committed by me. So please forgive it. Allah will
remark: Does My slave know that he has a Lord who can
forgive him and (if He likes) can punish him too. Anyhow,
I have forgiven him for the third time. So let him do
whatever he wishes,
(This Hadith is sound and reported by Bukhari and
Muslim).

Zaynab said, "I heard my mother, Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, 'Messenger of Allah! My daughter's husband died, and her eyes are troubling her, can she put kohl on them?' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'No' two or three times. Then he said, 'It is only four months and ten days. In the Jahiliyya, none of you threw away the piece of dung until a year had passed.' "
Humayd ibn Nafi said, "I asked Zaynab to explain what 'throwing away the piece of dung at the end of a year' meant. Zaynab said, 'In the Jahiliyya when a woman's husband died, she went into a small tent and dressed in the worst of clothes. She did not touch perfume or anything until a year had passed. Then she was brought an animal - a donkey, a sheep, or a bird, and she would break her idda with it, by rubbing her body against it (taftaddu). Rarely did she break her idda with anything (by rubbing herself against it) but that it died. Then she would come out and would be given a piece of dung. She would throw it away and then return to whatever she wished of perfumes or whatever.' "
Malik explained, 'Taftaddu' means to wipe her skin with it in the same way as with a healing charm."

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) fainted when he was sick, then he woke up and said: 'Has the time for prayer come?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Tell Bilal to call the Adhan, and tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.' Then he fainted, then he woke up and said: 'Has the time for prayer come?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Tell Bilal to call the Adhan, and tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.' Then he fainted, then he woke up and said: 'Has the time for prayer come?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Tell Bilal to call the Adhan, and tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.' Aishah said: 'My father is a tender-hearted man, and if he stands in that place he will weep and will not be able to do it. If you told someone else to do it (that would be better).' Then he fainted, then woke up and said: 'Tell Bilal to call the Adhan, and tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. You are (like) the female companions of Yusuf.' So Bilal was told to call the Adhan and he did so, and Abu Bakr was told to lead the people in prayer. And he did so then the Messenger of Allah (saw) felt a little better, and he said: 'Fine me someone I can lean on.' Barirah and another man came, and he leaned on them. When Abu Bakr saw him, he started to step back, but (the Prophet (saw)) gestured him to stay where he was. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) came and sat beside Abu Bakr, until Abu Bakr finished praying. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away." Daif

reported from his uncle lmran ibn Talhah and he from his mother Sayyidah Hamnah bint Jahsh (RA) that she used to have a severe large prolonged flow of blood. She asked the Prophet (SAW) about it, having met him for the question. She found him in the house of her sister Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (RA) said "I get istihadah and it is very severe. What do you command me? It prevents me from praying and fasting. "He said, "I suggest that you use cotton, for, it stops blood." She said, "It is much more for that."He said, "Then wear a tight rag," but she insisted that it was too much for the rag. And when he asked her to use a cloth too, she said that her flow was continuous and much. So, "I give you two commands. It is enough for you to abide by one. But if you follow both t know well whether you can. This is the devil's kick (that brings forth the istihadah), so determine the six or seven days of menstruation which Allah knows. Then have a bath. When you are clean and pure, keep fast and offer salah for twenty?four or twenty?three days. That is enough for you. Then do as menstruating women do, who purify themselves after the period of menstruation. If you can then delay the salah of Zuhr and advance the Salah of asr have a bath and offer Zuhr and Asr together. Then delay Maghrib and advance Isha, and have a bath, offer both salah together. Go on in this manner, and have a bath for the Salah of Fajr and offer it. Go on, in this manner and also keep fast provided you are able to do it." Then, AIlah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Of the two I like the second."

"When the Messenger of Allah (saw) came to Al-Madinah, he alighted in the upper part of Al-Madinah among the tribe called Banu Amr bin Awf and he stayed with them for fourteen nights. Then he sent for the chiefs of Banu An-Najjar, and they came with their swords by their sides. It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah (saw) on his she-camel with Abu Bakr riding behind him (on the same camel) and the chiefs of Banu An-Najjar around him, until he dismounted in the courtyard of Abu Ayyub. The Prophet (saw) used to offer the prayer wherever he was when the time came, and he would pray even in sheepfolds. Then he ordered that the Masjid be built. He sent for the chiefs of Banu An-Najjar, he said: 'O Banu An-Najjar, name me a price for this grove of yours.' They said: 'By Allah, we will not ask for its price except from Allah.'" Anas said: "In (that grove) there were graves of idolaters, ruins and date-palm trees. The Messenger of Allah (saw) ordered that the graves of the idolaters be dug up, the ruins be leveled and the date-palm trees be cut down. The trunks of the trees were arranged so as to form the wall facing the Qiblah. The stone pillars were built at the sides of its gate. They started to move the stones, reciting some lines of verse, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) was with them when they were saying: 'O Allah! There is no good except the good of the Hereafter. So bestow victory on the Ansar and the Muhajirin.'" (Sahih)

who said:
"A prayer performed by someone who has not recited the Essence of the Qur'an (1) during it is deficient (and he repeated the word three times), incomplete."
Someone said to Abu Hurayrah: [Even though] we are behind the imam? (2)
He said: Recite it to yourself, for I have heard the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be up on him) say:
"Allah (mighty and sublime be He), had said: 'I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says: 'Al-hamdu lillahi rabbi l-alamin' (3), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: 'My servant has praised Me.' And when he says: 'Ar-rahmani r-rahim' (4), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: 'My servant has extolled Me,' and when he says: 'Maliki yawmi d-din' (5), Allah says: 'My servant has glorified Me' - and on one occasion He said: 'My servant has submitted to My power.' And when he says: 'Iyyaka na budu wa iyyaka nasta in' (6), He says: 'This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.' And when he says: 'Ihdina s-sirata l- mustaqim, siratal ladhina an amta alayhim ghayril-maghdubi alayhim wa la d-dallin' (7), He says: 'This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.' "
(1) Surat al-Fatihah, the first surah (chapter) of the Qur'an.
(2) i.e. standing behind the imam (leader) listening to him reciting al-Fatihah.
(3) "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds."
(4) "The Merciful, the Compassionate."
(5) "Master of the Day of Judgement."
(6) "It is You we worship and it is You we ask for help."
(7) "Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favors, not of those against whom You are angry, nor of those who are astray."
It was related by Muslim (also by Malik, at-Tirmidhi, Abu-Dawud, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." A'isha said, "Messenger of Allah, when Abu Bakr stands in your place his voice does not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, so tell Umar to lead the people in prayer." He said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." A'isha continued, "I told Hafsa to tell him that when Abu Bakr stood in his place his voice did not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, and that he should tell Umar to lead the people in prayer. Hafsa did so, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'You are the companions of Yusuf! (referring to the women who cut their hands when they saw the beauty of Yusuf). Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer!' "
A'isha added that Hafsa said to her, "I have never had anything good from you!"

(wife of the Prophet (SAW)) Since I reached the age when I could remember things, I have seen my parents worshipping according to the right faith of Islam. Not a single day passed but Allah's Apostle (SAW) visited us both in the morning and in the evening. When the Muslims were persecuted, Abu Bakr set out for Ethiopia as an emigrant. When he reached a place called Bark-al-Ghimad, he met Ibn Ad-Daghna, the chief of the Qara tribe, who asked Abu Bakr, "Where are you going?" Abu Bakr said, "My people have turned me out of the country and I would like to tour the world and worship my Lord." Ibn Ad-Daghna said, "A man like you will not go out, nor will he be turned out as you help the poor earn their living, keep good relation with your Kith and kin, help the disabled (or the dependents), provide guests with food and shelter, and help people during their troubles. I am your protector. So, go back and worship your Lord at your home." Ibn Ad-Daghna went along with Abu Bakr and took him to the chiefs of Quraish saying to them, "A man like Abu Bakr will not go out, nor will he be turned out. Do you turn out a man who helps the poor earn their living, keeps good relations with Kith and kin, helps the disabled, provides guests with food and shelter, and helps the people during their troubles?"
So, Quraish allowed Ibn Ad-Daghna's guarantee of protection and told Abu- Bakr that he was secure, and said to Ibn Ad-Daghna, "Advise Abu Bakr to worship his Lord in his house and to pray and read what he liked and not to hurt us and not to do these things publicly, for we fear that our sons and women may follow him." Ibn Ad-Daghna told Abu Bakr of all that, so Abu-Bakr continued worshipping his Lord in his house and did not pray or recite Quran aloud except in his house. Later on Abu Bakr had an idea of building a mosque in the court yard of his house. He fulfilled that idea and started praying and reciting Qur'an there publicly. The women and the offspring of the pagans started gathering around him and looking at him astonishingly. Abu Bakr was a softhearted person and could not help weeping while reciting Quran. This horrified the pagan chiefs of Quraish. They sent for Ibn Ad-Daghna and when he came, they said, "We have given Abu Bakr protection on condition that he will worship his Lord in his house, but he has transgressed that condition and has built a mosque in the court yard of his house and offered his prayer and recited Quran in public. We are afraid lest he mislead our women and offspring. So, go to him and tell him that if he wishes he can worship his Lord in his house only, and if not, then tell him to return your pledge of protection as we do not like to betray you by revoking your pledge, nor can we tolerate Abu Bakr's public declaration of Islam (his worshipping)."
Aisha added: Ibn Ad-Daghna came to Abu Bakr and said, "You know the conditions on which I gave you protection, so you should either abide by those conditions or revoke my protection, as I do not like to hear the 'Arabs saying that Ibn Ad-Daghna gave the pledge of protection to a person and his people did not respect it." Abu Bakr said, "I revoke your pledge of protection and am satisfied with Allah's protection." At that time Allah's Apostle (SAW) was still in Makkah and he said to his companions, "Your place of emigration has been shown to me. I have seen salty land, planted with date-palms and situated between two mountains which are the two, Harras." So, when the Prophet (SAW) told it, some of the companions migrated to Medina, and some of those who had migrated to Ethiopia returned to Medina. When Abu Bakr prepared for emigration, Allah's Apostle (SAW) said to him, "Wait, for I expect to be permitted to emigrate." Abu Bakr asked, "May my father be sacrificed for your sake, do you really expect that?" Allah's Apostle (SAW) replied in the affirmative. So, Abu Bakr postponed his departure in order to accompany Allah's Apostle (SAW) and fed two camels which he had, with the leaves of Samor trees for four months.

that the Prophet (saw) sat him down and taught him the Adhan letter by letter. (One of the narrators) Ibrahim said: "It is like this Adhan of ours." I said:* "Recite it to me." He said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest), Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah) - twice, Ashhadu anna Muhammdan Rasulullah (I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah) - twice. Then he said in a lower voice which those around him could hear: Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah) - twice, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah (I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah) - twice, Haya 'ala as-salah (come to prayer) - twice, Hayya 'alal-falah (come to prosperity) - twice, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallah (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is none worthy of worship except Allah). (Hasan)
Bishir bin Mu'adh who heard it from Ibrahim, and from whom An-Nasa'i is reporting it, is the one who is asking for the Adhan to be recited to him.

A Jewess came to ask 'Aisha (the wife of the Prophet) about something. She said to her, "May Allah give you refuge from the punishment of the grave." So 'Aisha ' asked Allah's Apostle "Would the people be punished in their graves?" Allah's Apostle after seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave (and thus replied in the affirmative). Then one day, Allah's Apostle rode to go to some place but the sun eclipsed. He returned in the forenoon and passed through the rear of the dwellings (of his wives) and stood for the (eclipse) prayer, and the people stood behind him. He stood up for a long period and then performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than the first bowing. Then he raised his head and prostrated. Then he stood up (for the second Raka) for a long while but the standing was shorter than that of the first Raka. Then he performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than the first one. Then he raised his head and prostrated. Then he stood up for a long time but shorter than the first. Then he performed a prolonged bowing but shorter than the first. Then he raised his head and prostrated and finished the prayer and (then delivered the sermon and) said as much as Allah wished. And then he ordered the people to seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave.
