We asked Ibn Umar whether a man who had performed the Tawaf of the Kaaba but had not performed the Tawaf between As-Safa and Al-Marwa yet, was permitted to have sexual relation with his wife. He replied, "The Prophet arrived (at Mecca) and circumambulated the Kaaba seven times and then offered a two Rakat prayer behind Maqam-lbrahim and then performed the going (Tawaf) between As-Safa and Al-Marwa (seven times) (and verily, in Allah's Apostle you have a good example." And we asked Jabir bin Abdullah (the same question) and he replied, "He should not go near her till he has finished the going (Tawaf) between As-Safa and Al-Marwa."

reported from his, maternal aunt, Sayyidah Maymunah (RA). She said, "I set out water for the Prophet (SAW) to have a bath (after being sexually defiled), He held the vessel in his left hand and poured water over his right hand and washed both hands. Then he dipped his hands in water and poured water on his sex organ. Then he rubbed his hands on the wall or earth. Then he rinsed his mouth, snuffed water and washed his face and both hands, and poured water over his head three times and then poured water over all his body. "We were with the Messenger of Allah (saw) on one of his campaigns. He passed by some people and said: Who are these people? They said: We are Muslims. There was a woman putting wood in her oven, and a son of hers was with her. When the flames got higher, she moved him away. She came to the Prophet (saw) and said: Are you the Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes. She said: May my father and mother be ransomed for you. Is not Allah the Most Merciful of those who show mercy? He said: Yes indeed. She said: Is not Allah more Merciful than a mother to her child? He said: Yes indeed. She said: A mother would not throw her child into the fire. The Messenger of Allah (saw) lowered his head and wept. Then he looked up at her and said: Allah does not punish any of His slaves except those who are defiant and rebellious, who rebel against Allah and refuse to say: La ilaha illallah."

that when the Prophet (SAW) came to Madinah, he continued to face the direction of Bayt al Maqdis in prayer for sixteen or seventeen months. He longed to turn to the kaabah. So, Allah, the Exalted, revealed (the verse): So, he turned his face towards the Kaabah, and he loved that. A man prayed with him the asr prayer and then passed by a section of the Ansar people while they were in ruku of the salah of asr facing Bayt al-Maqdis. So, he said, "He bears testimony that he prayed with Allah's Messenger (SAW) and indeed he had faced the Kaabah," The narrator said, "They turned their direction while still in ruku."

that the Prophet (saw) said: "The Hell-Fire was kindled for one thousand years and turned white. Then it was kindled for another thousand years and it turned red. Then it was kindled for another thousand years and it turned black. So it is black like the darkest night."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'l-Aswad Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Nawfal from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr from Zaynab bint Abi Salama that Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I once complained to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that I was ill and he said, 'Do tawaf riding behind the people.' So I did tawaf riding my camel, while the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was praying by the side of the House, reciting Surat at-Tur."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Sulayman ibn Yasar from Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that a certain woman in the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to bleed profusely, so Umm Salama consulted the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, for her, and he said, "She should calculate the number of nights and days a month that she used to menstruate before it started happening, and she should leave off from prayer for that much of the month. When she has completed that she should do ghusl, bind her private parts with a cloth, and then pray."

I used to practice money exchange, and I asked Zaid bin Arqam about it, and he narrated what the Prophet said in the following: Abu Al-Minhal said, "I asked Al-Bara bin Azib and Zaid bin Arqam about practicing money exchange. They replied, 'We were traders in the time of Allah's Apostle and I asked Allah's Apostle about money exchange. He replied, 'If it is from hand to hand, there is no harm in it; otherwise it is not permissible."

I saw the Prophet on his Mount praying Nawafil by nodding his head, whatever direction he faced, but Allah's Apostle never did the same in offering the compulsory prayers. Narrated Salim: At night'Abdullah bin 'Umar used to offer the prayer on the back of his animal during the journey and never cared about the direction he faced. Ibn 'Umar said, "Allah's Apostle used to offer the optional prayer on the back of his Mount facing any direction and also used to pray the Witr on it but never offered the compulsory prayer on it."

when this verse was revealed:" And warn thy nearest kindred" (and thy group of selected people among them) the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) set off till he climbed Safa' and called loudly: Be on your guard! They said: Who is it calling aloud? They said: Muhammad. They gathered round him, and he said: O sons of so and so, O sons of so and so, O sons of 'Abd Manaf, O sons of 'Abd al-’Muttalib, and they gathered around him. He (the Apostle) said: If I were to inform you that there were horsemen emerging out of the foot of this mountain, would you believe me? They said: We have not experienced any lie from you. He said: Well, I am a warner to you before a severe torment. He (the narrator) said that Abu Lahab then said: Destruction to you! Is it for this you have gathered us? He (the Holy Prophet) then stood up, and this verse was revealed:" Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and he indeed perished" (cxi. 1). A'mash recited this to the end of the Sura.
