"I was present for Eid with Umar bin Khattab. He started with the prayer before the sermon, and said: 'The Messenger of Allah (saw) forbade fasting on these two days, the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha. As for the Day of Fitr, it is the day when you break your fast, and on the Day of Adha you eat the meat of your sacrifices.'" Sahih

that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "When a meal is served, a man should not stand up until it is removed, and he should not take his hand away, even if he is full, until the people have finished. And let him continue eating.* For a man may make his companion shy, causing him to withhold his hand, and perhaps he has a need for the food."

wife of the son of Sayyidina Abu Qatadah (RA) narrated," Abu Qatadah visited us and I poured out water in a vessel for ablution he may make. A cat came and began to drink it. He tilted the vessel for it till she drank her fill. He saw me looking at him and asked if I was surprised. When I said that I was, he said that Allah's Messenger (SAW) had said that it was not impure (or unclean) and it is one of those that go round us. [Ahmed 22591, 2264]

Narrated/Authority of Sahl bin Sad
Once a tumbler (full of milk or water) was brought to Allah's Apostle (SAW) who drank from it, while on his right side there was sitting a boy who was the youngest of those who were present, and on his left side there were old men. The Prophet (SAW) asked, "O boy ! Do you allow me to give (the drink) to the elder people (first)?" The boy said, "I will not prefer anybody to have my share from you, O Allah's Apostle (SAW)!" So, he gave it to the boy.

from his father, that the Prophet (saw) said: "Whoever eats food and said: Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi at'amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwatin (Praise is to Allah Who has fed me this and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part), - his previous sins will be forgiven."
