Yahya related to me from Malik from Jafar ibn Muhammad ibn Ali from his father that Umar ibn al-Khattab mentioned the magians and said, "I do not know what to do about them." Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf said, "I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'Follow the same sunna with them that you follow with the people of the Book.' "

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Qasim from his father from Asma bint Umays that she gave birth to Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr at al-Bayda. Abu Bakr mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said, "Tell her to do ghusl and then enter ihram."

that Sayyidina Abu Humayd Abu Usayd, Sahi ibn Sa'd and Muhammad ibn Muslaniah sat together and discussed the Prophet's (SAW) prayer. Abu Humayd (RA) said, "I know about his prayer more than any of you. Surely, Allah's Messenger (SAW) placed his hands on his knees while bowing as though he was clutching them, bending his arms like the bow and keeping them away from his ribs." Yahya related to me from Malik from Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd from Salim ibn Abdullah that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "If you are uncertain in the prayer, estimate what you think you have forgotten of the prayer and repeat it, then do the two sajdas of forgetfulness from the sitting position."

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) recited the following Verse: 'It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad (SAW)) the Book (this Qur'an). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear. (up to His saying:) 'And none receive admonition except men of understanding.' (3:7) Then he said: 'O 'Aishah, if you see those who dispute concerning it (the Qur'an), they are those whom Allah has referred to here, so beware of them.'" (Sahih)

narrated tha Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "If anyone says after hearing the adhan: Translation: (0 Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the salah that is being established, grant Muhammad the nearness and honour, and raise him to a praiseworthy station which you have promised him) then on the day of Resurrection my intercession will be lawful for him." Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm that he heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said about the flood-channels of Mahzur and Mudhaynib (in Madina), "Dam them systematically, so that the water is diverted into each property in turn up to ankle level, starting upstream."

I heard Um Ad-Darda' saying, "Abu Ad-Darda' entered the house in an angry mood. I said to him. 'What makes you angry?' He replied, 'By Allah! I do not find the followers of Muhammad doing those good things (which they used to do before) except the offering of congregational prayer." (This happened in the last days of Abu Ad-Darda' during the rule of 'Uthman).
