said that he was with Allah's Messenger (SAW) once. He visited an Ansar woman who slaughtered for him a goat and he ate it. Then she brought a plate of dates from which he ate. He performed ablution for the salah of Dhuhr and prayed it. He returned and she again brought the remaining meat. He ate of it. Then he offered the salah of asr but did not perform ablution. AbutTayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from AbuMusa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply AbuMusa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him). He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: No one of you should make water in his bath and then wash himself there (after urination). The version of Ahmad has: Then performs ablution there, for evil thoughts come from it.
