Hadith No: 494
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Umar

"While the people were in Quba, praying the Subh prayer, someone came to them and said that revelation had come to the Messenger of Allah (saw) the night before, and he had been commanded to face the Kabah. So they turned around, and they had been facing toward Ash-Sham, but now they turned to face toward the Kabah." (Sahih)

Remembrance said in the morning and evening
اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ . (ثلاثاً) اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكُـفر ، وَالفَـقْر ، وَأَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ . (ثلاثاً)
‘O Allah, grant my body health, O Allah, grant my hearing health, O Allah, grant my sight health. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’
(three times)

‘O Allah, I take refuge with You from disbelief and poverty, and I take refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’
(three times)
