Narrated/Authority of Zaid bin Arqam
that they used to converse during salah behind Allah's Messenger (SAW) One of them would speak to his neighbour till the verse was revealed "and Stand before Allah devoutly" (2:238). So they were commanded to observe silence and were forbidden to converse. [Bukhari 799, Abu Dawud 773, Nisai 930]
