Hadith No: 74
From: 110 Hadith Qudsi. Chapter 1, 110 Ahadith Qudsi (Sacred Hadith)
Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
that Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: First of the deeds for which a slave will be called to account (on the Day of Resurrection) will be his (obligatory) prayers. If they are complete (he has prospered and succeeded), otherwise Allah (SWT) will say (to the angels): See whether there are any (voluntary) prayers of My slave. If any, Allah will say: Complete his obligatory prayers with them. (This Hadith is sound and reported by Ahmad in his Musnad, Abu Daud and Ibn Hibban).

Hadith No: 554
From: Sunan Abu Dawood. Chapter 2, Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)
Narrated/Authority of Ubai bin Kab
The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) led us in the dawn prayer one day. And he said: Is so and so present? They said: No. He (again) asked: Is so and so present? They replied: No. He then said: These two prayers are the ones which are most burdensome to hypocrites. If you knew what they contain (i.e. blessings), you would come to them, even though you had to crawl on your knees. The first row is like that of the angels, and if you knew the nature of its excellence, you would race to join it. A man's prayer said along with another is purer than his prayer said alone, and his prayer with two men is purer than his prayer with one, but if there are more it is more pleasing to Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic.

From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 9, The Book of Fasting
Narrated/Authority of Sulaiman bin Buraidah
that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) said to Bilal: 'Come and eat, O Bilal.' He said: 'I am fasting.' The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'We are eating our provision, but most of Bilal's provision is in Paradise. Do you realise, O Bilal, that the bones of the fasting person glorify Allah and the angels pray for forgiveness for him so long as food is eaten in front of him?'" Hasan

Hadith No: 254
From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 20, Hajj
Narrated/Authority of
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibrahim ibn Abi Abla from Talha ibn Ubaydullah ibn Kariyz that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Shaytan is not considered more abased or more cast out or more contemptible or more angry on any day than on the Day of Arafa. That is only because he sees the descent of the Mercy and Allah's disregard for great wrong actions. That is except from what he was shown on the Day of Badr." Someone said, "What was he shown on the Day of Badr, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Didn't he see Jibril arranging the ranks of the angels?"

Hadith No: 5
From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 50, The Evil Eye
Narrated/Authority of Ata bin Yasar
Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When the slave is ill, Allah ta'ala sends two angels to him." He said, "They look at what he says to his visitors. If he praises Allah and lauds Him, when they come to him, they take that up to Allah, the Mighty, the Majestic, and He knows best, and He says, 'If I make my slave die, I will make him enter the Garden. If I heal him, I will replace his flesh with better flesh and his blood with better blood and I will efface his evil actions.'"

Hadith No: 77
From: 110 Hadith Qudsi. Chapter 1, 110 Ahadith Qudsi (Sacred Hadith)
Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Amr
Once we performed Maghrib (Evening) prayer along with Allah's Messenger (PBUH), then some people left while some others stayed behind in the mosque. Shortly afterwards, Allah's Messenger (PBUH) came fast in a state that he was panting violently and his knees were uncovered. He said excitedly: Be happy. This is your Lord who has opened a gate of the heavens. He talked to the angels proudly about you and said: Look at these slaves of Mine. They have just finished one obligatory prayer and are now waiting for the next. (This Hadith is sound and reported by Ibn Majah and Ahmad in his Musnad).

Hadith No: 6
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 13, Friday Prayer
Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday like the bath of Janaba and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour i.e. early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in Allah's cause); and whoever goes in the second hour it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; and if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutba), the angels present themselves to listen to the Khutba."

Hadith No: 3919
From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 38, The Chapters on the Interpretation of Dreams
Narrated/Authority of Ibn Umar
"I was a young unmarried man at the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw), and I used to stay overnight in the mosque. If any of us had seen a dream, he would tell it to the Prophet (saw). I said: 'O Allah, if there is any good in me before You, show me a dream that the Prophet (saw) can interpret for me.' So I went to sleep and I saw two angels who came to me and took me away. They were met by another angel who said: 'Do not be alarmed,' and they took me to Hell which was built like a well. In it were people, some of whom I recognized. Then they took me off to the right. In the morning I mentioned that to Hafsah, and Hafsah said that she told the Messenger of Allah (saw) about it, and he said: Abdullah is a righteous man, if only he would pray more at night.'"

Hadith No: 764
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 12, Characteristics of Prayer
Narrated/Authority of Rifaa bin Rafi AzZuraqi
One day we were praying behind the Prophet. When he raised his head from bowing, he said, "Sami'a-l-lahu Liman hamida." A man behind him said, "Rabbana walaka-l hamd hamdan Kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fihi" (O our Lord! All the praises are for You, many good and blessed praises). When the Prophet completed the prayer, he asked, "Who has said these words?" The man replied, "I." The Prophet said, "I saw over thirty angels competing to write it first." Prophet rose (from bowing) and stood straight till all the vertebrae of his spinal column came to a natural position.

Hadith No: 844
From: Sunan An-Nasai. Chapter 10, The Book of Leading the Prayer (Al-Imamah)
Narrated/Authority of Ubai bin Kab
"One day the Messenger of Allah (saw) prayed Fajr, then he said: 'Did so-and-so attend the prayer?' They said: 'No.' He said: '(What about) so-and-so?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'These two prayers are the most burdensome for the hypocrites. If they knew what (virtue) is in them, they would come, even if they had to crawl. And the virtue of the first row is like that of the row of the angels. If you knew its virtue, you would compete for it. A man's prayer with another man is greater in reward than his prayer alone. And a man's prayer with two other men is greater in reward than his rayer with one other man; the more people there are, the more beloved that is to Allah, the Mighty and Sublime.'" (Hasan)
