From: Sunan Ibn Majah. Chapter 9, The Book of Fasting
that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Do not fast on Saturdays apart from days when you are obliged to fast. If anyone of you cannot find anything other than grape stalks or the bark of a tree, let him suck on it." Daif

"I gave the Prophet (saw) a gift of a sheep, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) sat on his knees to eat. A Bedouin said: 'What is this sitting?' He said: 'Allah has made me a humble and generous slave (of Allah) and has not made me arrogant and stubborn.'"
