Hadith Narrated By Abu Darda

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) came out to us when we were speaking of poverty and how we feared it. He said: 'Is it poverty that you fear? By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, (the delights and luxuries of) this world will come to you in plenty, and nothing will cause the heart of anyone of you to deviate except that. By Allah, I am leaving you upon something like Bayda' (white, bright, clear path) the night and day of which are the same.'" Abu Darda said: "He spoke the truth, by Allah. The Messenger of Allah (saw) did indeed leave us upon something like Bayda' (the white, bright, clear path) the days and nights of which were the same." (Hasan)

"Faith increases and decreases." (Daif)

that the Prophet (saw) said concerning the Verse: "Every day He is (engaged) in some affair."[55:29] "His affairs include forgiving sins, relieving distress, raising some people and bringing others low." (Hasan)

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) came out to us with water dripping from his head, and he led us in prayer wearing a single garment, placing its one end on the right shoulder, and the other end on the other shoulder. When he finished praying, 'Umar bin Khattab said to him: 'O Messenger of Allah, did you lead us in prayer wearing a single garment?' He said: 'Yes, I perform prayer in it, and in it I (i.e. I had sexual intercourse in it)." (Daif)

"I performed eleven prostrations with the Prophet (saw) of which there were none in the Mufassal. Al-A'raf, Ar-Ra'd, An-Nahl, Bani Isra'il, Maryam, Al-Hajj, the prostration in Al-Furqan, Surat An-Naml (mentioning) Sulaiman, As- Sajdah, Sad, and the Ha-Mim Surah." Sahih

that the Prophet (saw) said: "Whoever goes to bed intending to wake up and pray during the night, but is overwhelmed by sleep until morning comes, what he intended will be recorded for him, and his sleep is a charity given to him by his Lord." Daif

that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Send a great deal of blessing upon me on Fridays, for it is witnessed by the angels. No one sends blessing upon me but his blessing will be presented to me, until he finishes them." A man said: "Even after death?" He said: "Even after death, for Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets, so the Prophet of Allah is alive and receives provision.'"

"We were with the Messenger of Allah (saw) on one of his journeys on a hot day, and it was extremely hot. A man would put his hand over his head because of the intense heat. No one among the people was fasting except for the Messenger of Allah (saw) and Abdullah bin Rawahah." Sahih

"I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: 'There is no man who suffers some (injury) on his body and forgives (the perpetrator), but Allah (swt) will raise him one degree in status thereby, or erase from him one sin.'My own ears heard it and my heart memorized it."

that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "A military expedition by sea is like ten expeditions by land. The one who suffers from seasickness is like one who gets drenched in his own blood in the cause of Allah."

that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "The best food of the people of this world and the people of Paradise is meat.'"

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) was never invited to eat meat but he would respond, and he was never offered meat as a gift but he would accept it."

My close friend (saw) advised me: 'Do not drink wine, for it is the key to all evils.'

that the Prophet (saw) said: "No one who is addicted to wine will enter Paradise."

that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "The best of that in which you visit Allah in your graves and your mosque is white (garments)."*

the Prophet (saw) say that: "The father is the middle door of Paradise (i.e. the best way to Paradise), so it is up to you whether you take advantage of it or not."

that the Prophet(saw) said: "Shall I not tell you of the best of your deeds, the most pleasing to your Sovereign, those that raise you most in status, that are better than your gold and silver, or meeting your enemy (in battle) and you strike their necks and they strike your necks?" They said: " What is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Remembering Allah (Dhikr)."

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) said to me: 'You should recite Subhan-Allah, wal-Hamdu-Lillah, wa la ilahah illallah, wa Allahu Akbar (Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great), for it sheds sins like the tree sheds its leaves.'"

that my close friend (saw) advised me: that my close friend (saw) advised me:"Do not associate anything with Allah, even if you are cut and burned. Do not neglect any prescribd prayer deliberately, for whoever neglects it deliberately no longer has the protection of Allah. And do not drink wine, for it is the key to all evil."
