From: Sunan An-Nasai. Chapter 1, The Book of Purification
Narrated/Authority of Anas bin Malik
that "some people from 'Ukl came to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and spoke about Islam. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we are nomads who follow the herds, not farmers and growers, and the climate of Al-Madinah does not suit us.' So the Messenger of Allah (saw) told them to go out to a flock of female camels and drink their milk and urine. When they recovered - and they were in the vicinity of Al-Harrah - they apostatized after having become Muslim, killed the camel-herder of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and drove the camels away. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah (saw) and he sent people after them. They were brought back, their eyes were smoldered with heated nails, their hands and feet cut off, then they were left in Al-Harrah in that state until they died." (Sahih)

From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 10, Times of the Prayers
Narrated/Authority of Anas bin Malik
Allah's Apostle came out as the sun declined at mid-day and offered the Zuhr prayer. He then stood on the pulpit and spoke about the Hour (Day of Judgment) and said that in it there would be tremendous things. He then said, "Whoever likes to ask me about anything he can do so and I shall reply as long as I am at this place of mine. Most of the people wept and the Prophet said repeatedly, "Ask me." Abdullah bin Hudhafa As-Sahmi stood up and said, "Who is my father?" The Prophet said, "Your father is Hudhafa." The Prophet repeatedly said, "Ask me." Then Umar knelt before him and said, "We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad as our Prophet." The Prophet then became quiet and said, "Paradise and Hell-fire were displayed in front of me on this wall just now and I have never seen a better thing (than the former) and a worse thing (than the latter)."

From: Imam Malik's Muwatta. Chapter 36, Judgements
Narrated/Authority of
Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said from Sulayman ibn Yasar that Umar ibn al-Khattab used to attach the children of the Jahiliyya to whoever claimed them in Islam. Two men came and each of them claimed a woman's child. Umar ibn al-Khattab summoned a person who scrutinized features and he looked at them. The scrutinizer said, "They both share in him." Umar ibn al-Khattab hit him with a whip. Then he summoned the woman, and said, "Tell me your tale." She said, "It was this one (indicating one of the two men) who used to come to me while I was with my people's camels. He did not leave me until he thought and I thought that I was pregnant. Then he left me, and blood flowed from me, and this other one took his place. I do not know from which of them the child is." The scrutinizer said, "Allah is greater." Umar said to the child, "Go to whichever of them you wish."

Hadith No: 654
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 26, Pilgrimage (Hajj)
Narrated/Authority of Aisha
I asked the Prophet whether the round wall (near Ka'ba) was part of the Ka'ba. The Prophet replied in the affirmative. I further said, "What is wrong with them, why have they not included it in the building of the Ka'ba?" He said, "Don't you see that your people (Quraish) ran short of money (so they could not include it inside the building of Ka'ba)?" I asked, "What about its gate? Why is it so high?" He replied, "Your people did this so as to admit into it whomever they liked and prevent whomever they liked. Were your people not close to the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance (i.e. they have recently embraced Islam) and were I not afraid that they would dislike it, surely I would have included the (area of the) wall inside the building of the Ka'ba and I would have lowered its gate to the level of the ground."

From: Sunan An-Nasai. Chapter 10, The Book of Leading the Prayer (Al-Imamah)
Narrated/Authority of Buraidah bin Sufyan bin Farwah Al-Aslami
that a slave of his grandfather who was called Masud said: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) and Abu Bakr passed by me and Abu Bakr said to me: 'O Masud, go to Abu Tamim - meaning the man from whom he had been freed - 'and tell him to give us a camel so that we could ride, and let him send us some food and a guide to show us the way.' So I went to my former master and told him the same, and he sent with me a camel and vessels of milk, and I brought them via a secret route. Then the time for prayer came and the Messenger of Allah (saw) stood up and prayed, and Abu Bakr stood to his right. I had come to know about Islam and I was with them, so I came and stood behind them. So the Messenger of Allah (saw) pushed Abu Bakr on the chest (to make him move backward) and we stood behind him." Abu Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasai) said: (This) Buraidah is not a reliable narrator of Hadith. (Daif)

Hadith No: 782
From: Sahih Bukhari. Chapter 12, Characteristics of Prayer
Narrated/Authority of Abu Qilaba
Once Malik bin Huwairith said to his friends, "Shall I show you how Allah's Apostle (saw) used to offer his prayers?" And it was not the time for any of the compulsory congregational prayers. So he stood up (for the prayer) bowed and said the Takbir, then he raised his head and remained standing for a while and then prostrated and raised his head for a while (sat up for a while). He prayed like our Sheikh Amr Ibn Salama. (Ayub said, "The latter used to do a thing which I did not see the people doing i.e. he used to sit between the third and the fourth Rakah). Malik bin Huwairith said, "We came to the Prophet (saw) (after embracing Islam) and stayed with him. He said to us, 'When you go back to your families, pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time, pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time, and when there is the time for the prayer then only of you should pronounce the Adhan for the prayer and the oldest of you should lead the prayer."
