“The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa.”* (Sahih) *Mudd is a measure of two thirds of a kilogram (approx.), while Sa equals 4 Mudd (3 kilograms approx.).

from his father that his grandfather said: “The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa’ is sufficient for the bath.’ A man said: ‘It is not sufficient for us.’” He (the narrator) said: “It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair” meaning the Prophet (saw). (Sahih)

“The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Allah does not accept any prayer without purification and He does not accept any charity from Ghulul.’”* (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording. *Ghulul refers to withholding goods captured among the spoils of war, and the meaning includes deceitfully taking what one has no right to.

لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْد، وهوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قَدير، اللّهُـمَّ لا مانِعَ لِما أَعْطَـيْت، وَلا مُعْطِـيَ لِما مَنَـعْت، وَلا يَنْفَـعُ ذا الجَـدِّ مِنْـكَ الجَـد

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.O Allah, none can prevent what You have willed to bestow and none can bestow what You have willed to prevent, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, as from You is all wealth and majesty.
